Should we just move on now, captain? Who are we waiting on to post?

Killua was now in full wing. he was back on his feet again, and no one was there. Killua then rubbed his head and exclaimed "DAMN IT!!! WHERE IS THE CAPTAIN!!!" Killua was pissed, and then he saw marines charging at him "LeTS GET EM!!!!!" Killuas eyes flared "GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!" He started barraging punches to open a path sending them all flying. Killua ran looking for Avis. He ran faster and faster "CAPTAINNN!!!!!"

Killu saw the crew captured amd covered by marines. Killua walked slowly, the air around him changed. A bunch of marines surrounded him "Oi.... dont joke with me..... the crew is taken..... ill save you guys!!!!" One of the marines shouted "YOUR JUST A KID!!! DONT TALK SO......" He couldnt finish his sentence, Killua had leapt up and slammed her punch squarely into his face, sending the marine flying. The other marines stepped back in fear. Killua cracked his knuckles "Im pissed..... so ill take you all out and save my crew mates and MY CAPTAIN!!!!!!"

(Sorry guys, got lost and had no clue, lol)

The marines were beginning to gather near the town's port, their newest prisoners in tow. Although one of their larger men was enough carry an unconscious Dontae without too much trouble, the pair attempting to haul Jace was having some difficulty. They eventually reached the already handcuffed Avis, and next to her stood a man that appeared slightly older than the rest, sporting a mustache and a white marine coat draped over his shoulders.

After the lower ranking marines gave a brief salute to their superior, a challenging feat for the two trying to hold up Jace as they did, the marine captain had hardly looked up from the clip board he was holding when shouts broke out nearby. Avis, who had previously been staring at the dirt in front of her for quite some time, perked up at the sound and looked attentively in its direction.

"Killua!" she called out in response, earning herself a prompt scowl from the older man. This enough was able to quiet her down, and the marine quickly looked back down to his clip board. He then flipped through the bounty posters clamped on to it and adopted a look of distaste when he realized that one or two of the faces on them weren't apprehended quite yet. While they took in a rather strange pair that turned themselves in a short time ago, those two looked nothing like the remaining pirates they were looking for. Hopefully the bedlam in the streets nearby meant they found at least one of the remaining pirates.

"Search those two, and make sure they get enough medical attention to last them until we reach the prison. Toss them in with the other pair we have yet to identify when you're done; the loud one stays here with me for the time being," the marine captain responded with authority as he pointed in the direction of Jace and Dontae, though the clipboard he was holding kept a firm hold of most his attention. The marines dragged the two pirates to the ship as Avis gave a quiet scoff. She didn't particularly appreciate being referred to in such a way, but coming up with a snappy remark wouldn't be in their favor.

"Seriously. What were you thinking!?"
Zuzen had been yelling at the ships walls, his handcuffs, the marine soldiers (which had gotten him a small punch with the end of a rifle... his head was bleeding a bit), and had now commenced shouting at Jamil, who was sitting there, his head against the wodden wall of the ship.
"Patience, Zuzen. This will not be in naught."
"But what does it mean?"
Now he was just whining. After a while, in which Jamil showed no sign he had even heard him, Zuzeb sighed deeply and let himself fall to the ground. Damn, why was his partner so stubborn. He swore inside, next time, he would insist on staying with Johan instead of being send off somewhere with this guy.
"If the key falls into their hands, you're a dead man."

Killua was punching through the ranks of increasing marines who got back up. He kept punching and scrapping "OUT OF MY WAY!!!!!" Killua was dodging at close range and fighting his way through hordes of marines who had gathered to stop him. He slammed them down one by one. The marines were being plowed through by Killuas blows. they tried to organize, but at close range, the kid had too much destructive power and too much agility and flexibility.

Killua roared as he saw Avis , he fought his way "CAPPTAIIINNNN IM ON MY WAY!!!!" An old marine standing by near the ship started sweating, The lieutenant next to him shouted "WHAT DO WE DO COMMODORE SIR!!!!" The old man then stood straight he had no time to waste "Barrage him with cannons......." One of the marines protested "BUT HE IS JUST A KID!!!!" a gunshot fired into the marines chest. The commodores eyes raging "DO IT NOW, IN THE NAME OF JUSTICE!!!" The other marines got to their posts and fired cannons at Killua.

Killua was feeling as if he was closer to his goal , he could see Avis clearly and smiled. Just as he smiled , he was hit, with canon after canon. Barraged and battered continously, at least 7 shots. Sent Killua pummeling to the ground. As the debree settled all the marines sighed in relief "He's down... the kid has got to be dead....." "finally damn that kid was kicking our..... huh??!!!"

It was Killua standing up, slowly, shaking with blood flowing. He was struggling to find his feet, he staggered towards the area where Avis was , the marines with no more heart to attack him. He staggered slowly, breathing heavily, saying "captain......captain.... *cough* captain......Grghhhh" He staggered till he reached the front of the captain, right in front of her, and then , he fell to the ground , losing all consciousness again.

(I'm going to take the freedom and move this along, I guess. And I'll just pretend everyone's been caught.)

The cell next to theirs was opened and two persons were brought inside. Seemingly, the marines had learned the hard way to be careful about them, for they not only handcuffed their hands, but also chained them to the bars with one hand.
Zuzen narrowed his eyes to see through the dim light. One was the weirdo, and one the young boy... Oh god, what had they done to him. Without thinking, he rushed to the bars.
"Hey, aren't you going to treat him? He's just a kid!"
The handle of a rifle almost hit his hands, he was pretty sure it would have hurt hadn't he let go of the bars in time.
"Get away from the bars!"
One of the soldiers said. Zuzen had to admit, suddenly making all that fuss hadn't been the smartest thing to do. Slowly, he backed away. He wasn't going to get himself in any more danger than he already had.
Another soldier, a newbie it seemed, cleared his throat nervously.
"Uh, but why don't we treat him? Isn't he... in danger?"
The first marine looked at him with a mixture of horror and regret on his face.
"Well... I ain't going near that kid. What if he wakes up? We don't want him running amok on the ship, imagine the damage he could do..."
"But..."
The younger marine fell silent and stared at his feet for a while, letting the logic behind the words sink in.
"...I guess you're right. However cruel it is, if it endangers our men more than necessary, then there's nothing we can do. And we're already treating those two others, our medics are way busy..."
He sighed. Zuzen knew the expression. It was the one his captain got when reality got in the way of his ideals and plans. Even he had to see sometimes that not everything was possible.

"But that's not the only thing we're here for, right?"
The soldires turned to hus cell, and Zuzen automatically backed up even more. Soldiers looking at him like that was never good.
"Which one?"
For a while, the older soldier looked at him. Then, his eyes wandered to where Jamil was sitting. His look was returned with a cold gaze and cocky words.
"What do you want, asshole? "
How weird, that wasn't his partners style at all... his insults were more subtle, sharper and more hurtful. This sounded too blunt, too uncomlicated to be real.
The soldier pointed at the man with the bandages (or, right now, torn sheets) over his face.
"This one."
The younger soldier looked at Jamil as well.
"But why? Isn't the other one much louder?"
With a wise look on his face, the older soldier nodded.
"Yes, yes. BUt it's always the quiet, cocky ones who spit information out first. Those guys with temper like that other one... They'll just shout at you or they'll bite their lips and say nothing. Now, the quiet ones, those are the ones who talk."
"Aaah."
The younger soldier nodded. Undefiable logic. He pointed his rifle at the two of them.
"No one move. You there, come forward. The other one, stay back."
Zuzen pressed himself against the wall. He was staying way back, no need to shoot! Jamil stood up slowly and headed for the bars.
The door was unlocked, and he stepped outside, where the rifle was instantly pointed at him.
"No false moves. This'll all be over quick if you just do as we say like a good boy."
Jamil huffed dismissively. Another thing he wouldn't normally do in such a situation. The door to their cell was slammed shut behind him and locked. Jamil was lead outside, and Zuzen was alone...

((Thanks for trying to keep it moving, Gore))

Avis sat with her back against the cell wall, watching with distaste as the scene unfolded before her. Although Jace and Dontae getting fixed up was a pleasant surprise, if anything could have been described as pleasant at the moment, she couldn't help but think of their reason for not treating Killua rather ludicrous. After looking over to him with slight concern, her attention soon turned to the adjacent cell.

She nearly forgot about those two revolutionaries entirely. How did the marines get to them if they ran off and hid? When their conversation quickly took a turn for the worst, Avis tugged briefly at the chains attached to her. She could only wonder what information the marines were referring to, and if Jamil even had it to begin with. Either way, Avis knew she wouldn't be able to do much.

"It's not your fault, or his for that matter..." Avis muttered, glancing towards Zuzen as she did. A short sigh escaped her and her head hung in the slightest. She just had to fall for that trap the bounty hunters set and screw them over entirely. Not only did she end up getting her own crew caught, but members of a friend's as well. Her stomach sank at the thought of facing Johan at the moment, although the chance of having the possibility of doing so was slim in the first place.

"Hmm?"
Zuzen had looked at the floor like he wishe nothing more than to put the hurt on it until a second ago. When Avis had opened her mouth, though, he had pushed the anger away from him face and looked over to her.
"I know it wasn't. How would any of this be our fault? Though..."
He trie desperately to cheer this situation up a bit. Though he himself had little to laugh about at the moment, he forced a smile on his face.
"... It is rather rare for us not being to blame for anything, huh? With our captain attracting trouble like he does... Really, it's a miracle that guy managed to stay alive without Jamil scaring every possible smaller threat off with his overall creepiness. Hahaha!"
Wait, that had come out... Weirdly depressing. And made him worry about the clumsy guy... How did he stay alive right now, indeed? He wondered if Emil and the others had managed to get in contact with him somehow...
Sighing deeply, he leaned against the cells wall. His smile was gone. It had been so forced anyway...
"Seriously, though... Don't worry about it."

Jamil was pushed down onto the floor, where he kneeled in for a while, his eyes fixed on his knees and the wound again. He wasn't outside, but he had gotten that far before they had even come to take him away. Acting the way he had had been a gamble, since he couldn't be sure any of the soldiers had experience in this kind of thing. But he couldn't let them take Zuzen. At any cost.
It wasn't like he was worried or anything... He had to admit, though he hated his partner most of the time, somewhere in his dark heart, he had a spot reserved for him. But the main reason was that that guy would have just messed everything up. The only one for such a job was him. It had been his job once, and so he knew how to act and react.

They didn't make Jamil wait long. After a minute, he heard footsteps behind him.
"That him?"
Big guy, judging from the voice.... They relied on strenght, or they wanted to scare him.
"Yes, sir."
A grunting sound was the answer, then Jamil heard heavy steps and big boots appeared in his view.
"Look at me."
He looked up. Indeed, a big guy. With big hands, not made for the techniques that took detailed work, the ones he specialized in. But he knew how much such hands could hurt...
This'd take precision.
"I'm going to ask you nicely once...."
He hadn't counted on the two soliders staying. This... complicated things. He couldn't mess up even one move, or it'd be all over.
"... Who are you?"
Careful.
"F*ck you!"
Really, he hated it when his prisoners reacted like this. Now to hope that... Yes! He felt himself being jerked up, the hand had closed on his cloak, slightly below his neck. Perfect.
And here came the blow... Timing was important now. The big marine was right in front of him, the more experienced one behind him had the keys, both him and the younger one had weapons...
Jamils head flew to the side when the big mans hand connected with it. Painful, but necessary. The marine, at least Jamil thought he was, lifted him even higher, so that his eyes were now on one level with Jamils single eye. Big mistake. Rookie mistake. He had counted on those. His handcuffs made a clinking sound when he moved his hands slightly.
"Again. Who...."
Jamils movements were too fast for the big marine to react or the two soldiers to pull their rifles in time.

In the cell tract, scraems could be heard. At first, Zuzen winced, thinking it was Jamil, until he remembered something: Jamil didn't scream. even if it meant his death, Jamil would never open his mouth during any interrogation he had been in. He didn't show weakness. Which meant....
The door to the tract opened up again, and a small man stepped in. Blood was dripping from his hands, and in one, he had a bunch of keys.
At first, Zuzen didn't move. Then, he stormed to the bars.
"Jamil! For gods sake, you had me worried to death! Are those...."
"Yes. Shut up."
When Jamil came closer and unlocked the door to his cell, Zuzen got a closer look on his hands and almost jerked back. He had automatically assumed that it had been some strangers blood colouring them red. Now he could see the thick wounds where his partners wrists were ripped open to the flesh.
"How...?"
Again, he was interrupted.
"No time for stupid questions."
His partner turned from him and to Avis cell.
For a while, he just looked at the proud female captain, as if considering not letting her out. Then, he unlocked the cell.
"That's as far as my plan goes. it's your turn."
He said it with a look on his face that practically spelled out: Show me what you're really worth.

(time skips! Wonderful! I'll leave it to your fantasy what happened for now.)

Deep in the bowels of Jace’s mind…

Jace’s eyes opened to a new landscape. The last thing he remembered, he had been fighting some Marines…then he had been shot. Now he was lying on ground in, seemingly, the middle of nowhere. There was no grass around him, just dirt. Not that he would know if there was any greenery. He was also surrounded in a dense fog that blocked out everything that was farther than ten feet. Jace tried to roll over and stand, but found that he couldn’t. Every part of his body ached.

A low growl caught Jace’s attention. He looked to the side and saw a bear. Normally a bear would be no big deal, but in this weakened state, a mouse could have finished Jace off. However, something didn’t seem right about the bear. It too was lying down, except it was on its side. The creature was breathing heavily and seemed to be bleeding, also like Jace. It seemed almost familiar.

“You…you’re my…” Jace whispered, his voice coming out in a croak. “…my…other side…aren’t you?”

The bear moaned and flopped helplessly on the ground. Jace frowned. Oddly enough, the bear didn’t even seem to be trying to stand. Did it realize that they were going to die? No…that wasn’t it. The bear couldn’t move, even slightly. Something else was restricting it.

“We need…answers,” Jace said, his voice strengthening as he spoke. He closed his eyes…

…and then opened them again. Now Jace was somewhere else. People, or more specifically doctors, seemed to be working on him.

“Where…am I?” Jace gasped out.

((Alrighty... I suppose we'll take over ship and wrap up the thread, timeskip, then run on over to the revolutionaries thread to continue from there. Hopefully by that point people will be healing up enough to at least move around a bit.

I wouldn't want to screw up what you're doing with Jace, Cook, so take your time. It'd be nice if Dontae were to pop up somewhat soon too, since Killua's gonna need some time to recoup without the medical attention. On a side note, do you have any idea of what you'd like to do with Dynar, Frog?))

As the cell opened before her, it took a few moments for the realization to sink in. The thought that Jamil, of all people, doing it for the sake of being a good Samaritan was doubtful. Although getting help from him wouldn't sit particularly well with her ego, Avis would much rather lose self-esteem than be stuck in a cell for eternity. As Jamil began to speak the possibility of the act being a test went over her head for the time being, but his words didn't cause her any surprise.

"Ah, so there is a hitch," she responded with a slight grin, before adapting a more thoughtful expression moments after. "I s'pose we'll have to find the others, since waiting here for them won't do us any good... Not to mention we're getting closer to wherever the marines decide to lock us as up we speak." She gave a sigh of annoyance as her shoulders slumped. All her body wanted to do at the moment was lay down and take a break for the moment, not run around and fight again.

The others being in any better shape was doubtful, but they didn't have much of a choice at the moment. Killua for one needed a break so she left the door to the cell open behind her. Walking to the door to the rest of the ship and opening it carefully, it dawned upon her that she didn't have the slightest idea where she was going. As a pirate it was pretty common to see the outside of a marine ship, but inside was a different story. The marines didn't exactly have open house tours for their convenience.

"... You wouldn't happen to know where they've got any of my men, would you? Finding some of our weapons probably wouldn't be a bad idea either," she mentioned, looking back over her shoulder to the other two. While the chance that either of them knew any more about the terrain was doubtful, she thought that she might as well ask.

Jamil crossed his arms over his chest and glared at her. Obviously, he expected her to do this all on her own. And his glare alone was somehow an intrusion of private space... It appeared in the nightmares of many a poor soul held at Impel Down, and some outside of it.
"Oh, for gods sake!"
Zuzen walked up behind him and punched him in the site as good as he could with his hands still handcuffed.
"We both know you've been on those ships more than once! I mean, you've pracitcally worked on them at times! I mean, come on!"
But Jamil stared silent and just glared.he could be really headstrong if he wanted to. After a few seconds had passed, Zuzen raised an eyebrow.
"Waaaait a moment... Don't tell me you're... jealous? I had, uh thought of a lot when it came to your feelings towards Johan, but I'd never even begun to think that you could... I mean, wow!"
Jamil didn't seem to have a clue what he was talking about. He shifted his head slightly to give his comrade a searching look. Then, something inside his head seemed to click just as Zuzen continued his little speech.
"But what other reason would there be than that? Quite obvious. You never tested me like that, though. What, am I no worthy rival to you?"
Before he could continue, Jamil almost stormed towards the door. He gave both of them a particularly spiteful glare.
"Just follow me if you want to have a chance. And stay quiet!"
Then he walked out. Zuzen followed with a smug smile on his face. Next to Avis, he stopped for a moment.
"You're welcome."
Then he followed his comrade.

((Don’t worry about messin’ with my story too much. I’ll accept what comes. Otherwise I’m mainly going to bust Jace out and then…well, you’ll see. There’s gonna be some slight character development.))

“You are having several bullets removed,” one of the doctors, a woman, said. “You tried to take a Marine force head on. Do not worry. We’ve removed the bullets and have mostly cleaned and bandaged the wound.” She then looked up at the other doctors and said, “Sedative please.”

“He’s not going anywhere,” one of the other other doctors argued. This one was male. “He’s chained up. What can he do?”

Jace looked down at his arms and saw that he was, in fact, handcuffed to the medical table. The handcuffs had not be placed very well and he had an unusually large amount of space to move. If only he could call upon his devil fruit powers. Then he could easily…Jace’s eyes widened. The handcuffs! Of course! Seastone! That was why the bear was so weak! It all made sense now.

“Doesn’t matter,” the first doctor said. “Sedate him. He’s still a pirate and we can’t take any risks with him.”

A third doctor left the bedside and went over to another table, which had a tray of things that Jace could not see. It was now or never. He would not get another chance like this one. Jace lifted himself up as best he could and swung all of his weight on one side. The table tipped over and he fell to the floor, banging his head on the ground. He could taste blood. Before the doctors could even get down to help him back up, Jace rolled onto his feet, the table now on his back. He shot across the room towards the doctor, who was apparently getting the sedative. Just the doctor was turning back around, Jace seized her head in one hand and banged it against the table she had been standing beside, knocking her out cold. Jace heard a door opening and he saw out of the corner of his eye two Marines, carrying pistols, run into the room. They fired on Jace, but he turned his body so that the bed that was on his back protected him from the shots. He felt the impact of the bullets, but neither of them could reach him.

((Since no one else wants to post, I guess I’ll just continue Jace’s side story.))

Jace backed up quickly. The room was small and there wasn’t really any room for the Marines to circle around to get a better shot without getting into arm reach. Instead, they poured bullet after bullet into the table.

Jace could feel the impact of the bullets moving towards the sides of the table. It seemed the Marines had stepped away from directly behind him and were hoping he would run right past them, which of course would make him a perfect target. So, instead of running backwards as he had been doing, he turned quickly so that the table was facing one of the Marines and he was facing the other. This maneuver caught the Marine in front of Jace, off guard and he hesitated. That second was his undoing, and perhaps the only reason Jace was killed instantly. He grabbed the man’s gun and flung it away. A single punch to the jaw laid the Marine low. Jace could hear the Marine behind him shouting for back up.

I’ll give you back up,” Jace thought to himself. He hurled himself backwards, slamming the Marine into the wall with the table on his back. When he turned to examine his work, he shook his head sadly. “Now I’m making lame puns,” he muttered.

Jace searched the Marines and found that one of them had been keeping a ring of keys. Fortunately, one of the keys unlocked the handcuffs and soon, Jace was free. Almost as soon as the handcuffs fell away, Jace felt the bear inside begin to rise, growling and gnashing its teeth. For a brief second, the intent to kill almost overwhelmed his reason, but Jace forced it back down.

“Soon,” he whispered soothingly. “Very soon.” He turned away from the knocked out Marines and left the room, noticing that only the doctor he had knocked out was still in the room. The others had escaped. Jace was glad for that. He didn’t really want to hurt someone who had helped him. Then again, it also meant that soon everyone on the ship would know he was free, but the thought of this excited Jace. The bear was not the only one who wanted to kill.

Jamil carefully edged closer to a corner. The medical rooms should be around here somewhere... The weapon chamber wasn't very far either...
He looked around the corner, not actually especting to see anyone. He didn't. Instead, he heard gun shots. For a moment, his eyes widened. Had they been found out...?
Then, realisation struck him. He masseged the bridge of his nose and sighed in an annoyed way. When he was done, he glared at Avis as if this was all her fault.
"Stay quiet, I said. We have to kkep low... And what does her crew do? Don't you recruit anyone with actual brains? At least sometimes?"
He was mumbling it rather to himself that asking her, and wasn't expecting an answer, which he showed when he vanished around the corner. Not much use keepin down anymore, the whole ship ought to have heard that. If they were lucky, perhaps the captain was really fast asleep....

Zuzen looked after him a few seconds before coming up with an actual argument against him.
"Johan doesn't exactly think about peoples brains either when recruiting..."
He was probably lucky Jamil couldn't hear or at least ignored him. before following his comrade, he gave Avis an apologetic look. being tested by Jamil... All the time... He really felt sorry for her.

What nerve! The insults directed at her she could maybe take, albeit rather poorly, but making a blanket statement about her crew in such a way hit a nerve. Avis gave a quick glower to the back of Jamil's head as he turned the corner before looking away in a huff. He didn't even give her enough time to come up with a witty retort. It was probably a good thing that they didn't have their weapons at the moment; the thought of making him eat his words was quite enticing, and she didn't need the temptation.

"That's fine and dandy..." she responded to Zuzen's remark, quietly yet soaked with a bitter sarcasm as she followed a short distance behind him. His apologetic look didn't appear to be working, since her jaw remained clenched. "It would appear that Johan doesn't take people's manners into account, either. When you get the chance, you might want to remind him that the brainless crew has an ever so slight advantage in numbers."

Dontae awoke to a loud boom " Dammit Jace don't you know how to train to quietly" when Dontae looked around he what really happen " Oh yea we got captured" Dontae then begin searching his body and realized his hidden pistol was still tucked into his boot " hmm I this only has five shots lets hope I can make it last until I find my other weapons" Dontae then picked his hat up off the floor and put it on his head and then let out a huge sigh " Man I hate putting so much work into stuff like this" he then walked over to the cell and looked at the two guards " Didn't anyone train you two properly don't stand so close to the cells when there's a dangerous prisoner" before they could turn around Dontae snapped one of the guards neck and shot the other one in the back of his head, he then knelt down and took the keys off the guards " guess there's one good thing about not having a devil fruit don't have to worry about seastone hand cuffs" he then open the cell and walked out and headed down the hall to where he saw Jace " Oi Bear guy ever heard of a quiet escape?"

Damn, was that a threat?
"N-now wait a second! Jamil may be a total ass and grumpy and all that, but we still need him! He's our... uh..."
Saying "torturer" came off as too evil somehow... Though it was true. It sure would be hard getting all their information without him around. And god knows, he wouldn't want to be the one to take over his duties.
".... guide...."
For now, at least. Leave it to Johan to explain the dark stuff, he didn't want to break anything. Though he would most likely be forgiven... Oh damn it, he was really getting attached to the clumsy guy.
Jamil had stayed quiet this far, even though it was clear he had heard all of it. But now, he stopped.
"Talking about brainless crews... Aren't those yours?"
He was looking ahead, where two men had appearently just met. They weren't wearing uniforms, so they had to be prisoners or something. Not that Jamil would actually know who that woman decided to recruit or anything, he didn't keep up with things like that. That was Jacksons job. Only that Jackson wasn't here right now.
Without any further comment on them, he turned and started to search through the bundle of keys he still had in his hand. Zuzens eyes widened. Was he actually going to... Free him from his handcuffs?
His hopes were destroyed when his partner started trying the keys out on the door he was facing, ignoring the rest of them.

Jace answered Dontae’s comment with a glare. His eyes were narrowed slightly and looked almost…inhuman. The ‘bear guy’ looked past Dontae to see three figures coming towards them. There were two men he didn’t recognize and Avis. It was fortunate for the men that Avis appeared to be coming with them willingly, otherwise Jace would have already been on top of them. Jac turned his back on Dontae and the others.

“Keep going,” said Jace, his voice more of a growl then anything. “I don’t want you to see…” His voice trailed off and a shiver seemed to run down his spine. “They’re coming,” he said shortly. “I can hear them…” Jace giggled, which was, of course, totally unlike him. Suddenly, he no longer seemed to register Dontae’s presence. “I can smell their blood…oh…so sweet…”

Unmoved by Zuzen's weak attempt at redeeming Jamil, Avis gave him a blank, apathetic stare in return. She sure hoped that wasn't the Zuzen's only reason. Just when she thought she couldn't stand it any longer, they saw the others farther down the hallway. Giving a sigh of relief, Avis quickly made her way over to Jace and Dontae without giving the other pair a second thought.

"Good, you're both up. All we've gotta do now is-..." Avis hesitated for a moment before the volume of her voice faded. While Dontae appeared to be his usual self, Jace felt a bit off. She couldn't find the words to describe what exactly it was that was different about him, and brushed it aside for the time being. If the marines were working on him, it could simply be the medication not agreeing with his system. "Let's let Jace clean up down here, he can handle it. Apparently one of those two know where some storage rooms might be, and I still need to find the right keys to get these blasted cuffs off..."

Avis added a disgruntled scoff after her statement. Jamil could have the key she needed right on his ring and be keeping quiet about it for all she knew, which wouldn't shock her in the least. Although he was probably their best shot to getting their equipment back and finding the person in charge of the ship in a timely matter, she wasn't going to enjoy the escapade for the meantime; not in the least.

At the sound of Avis’s words, Jace’s shoulders slumped and his whole body lost some of its tension. For a brief second, he was back to normal. He looked over his shoulder at his captain and nodded, acknowledging that he had heard her orders. Then he turned back again and returned to keeping track of the Marine’s location. It was difficult in a ship to tell where an enemy was coming from. There were sounds of running coming from not only above him, but also behind and in front. It seemed, however, that they were mostly coming from behind. The ones in front were going up and the ones overhead were running around in too many directions to count. Jace wondered if the doctors had reached the soldiers yet. They must know their way around the ship better then he did, so it was highly likely.

A small clicking sound was heard, and a moment later, the door in front of Jamil opened with a screeching sound. He put the keys back on his belt.
"Here we go."

Zuzen, excited to have a weapon again, stormed into the room without secon thoughts.
He was almost disappointed when he saw it was filled only with normal weapons the soldiers carried with them, but still grabbed a rifle, which was hard considering he was still handcuffed. How would he fire this thing?? Well, maybe if an enemy came close enough, he'd be able to hit him, but that wasn't really what a rifle was made for.
Fighting would be a very... interesting experience this way. One he'd rather not have.
"Jamil... do you think you could... uh, open those handcuffs?"
He stretched his arms towards his partner, who was busy looking through a collection of swords and knives.
When Zuzen spoke to him, he turned his head slightly.
"Of course."
Another clicking sound, and Zuzens arms were free.
"Aaah, thank you! Perfect, now I'll actually be able to fight!"

Zuzen was content with his own arms being free. Why did Jamil even free them? How should he know, but he was damn glad about it. Still.... He turned his head slightly.
"And what about miss Ridley, could you..."
"No."
No. Damn it, no. Really, wasn't he overdoing it a bit?
