Serious: Fires of war, frosts of silence (closed)

Silt cursed. He ripped the portrait off the wall, but instead of a vault, there was nothing on the wall itself; Silt paused, then checked the back of the portrait; there was a key taped there. He ripped the key off, then, on a hunch, pushed the desk out of his way; there was a keyhole on the floor where the desk sat before. Eyes gleaming with triumph, he unlocked the trap door, but what he saw made him pause.

The other artifact, as his sources accurately told him, was there. It was a long, curved, sharp stone tooth; there was, however, another object in the vault; this was a parchment, with a map on it. The map's title was 'I.Q.'.

Something in Silt's gut told him to take it, so he did. He then stood up, ad looked for an exit. He hoped he had no need to use the countermeasures he installed; that would blow his cover to a frosty hell.

Martello rushed in and saw someone, but couldnt make out who it was "STOPPP , DAMN IT" Martello uses soru to catch up with the individual running away.

Silt stood there, and the instant the Rear Admiral was 4 cm from his face, he whispered, "Ever wondered what was on the ceiling?" He fell backwards through the window, aiming the late Baron's pistol at the ceiling of the hallway.

MArtello was confused and then looked up to the ceiling

There were 4 tubes stuck into the ceiling by their tips. Silt pulled the trigger and shot one of them. The tube sparked.

Then exploded.

MArtello was blown out through the next rooms window and landed on the patch of plants and grass outside. Had he been ordinary he would have died with ease. He got up slowly and dusted himself off, he talked into his den den mushi "ALL FORCES WE HAVE A POSSIBLE ASSASIN, BRING HIM DOWN, ALIVE IF POSSIBLE!!!!"

Gael looked up at Martello's yells. He put away his book hurriedly. So much for some rest. He got up and pulled Fenrir out of his bag, turning the shield into full wolf form. "Come on, boy, we have an assassin to catch," Gael told the once-shield, and they began running to the source of the yells, creating a tree which was as tall as the manor. Gael leapt into the tree, using it to look through the windows of each floor. He found the guilty man soon, and said, "Cease and desist, if you know what's good for you!" Gael yelled, a vine popping out of the floor and racing towards Silt.

Silt checked behind him, whilst running across the yard and, without warning, stopped. He turned, and looked at the vine growing from the ground racing after him. "Botanic Paramecia......" he murmured. He held out his left arm. He drew an odd object from his jacket with his right.

Gael was sure the man would try something, so he went down the trunk of the tree and turned Fenrir into his hybrid form. "I meant it!" Gael continued, moving his first vine to try to wrap around Silt's leg. He was prepared to open a tree shield if necessary.

Silt looked at the silver plated wolf bounding towards him, then the vine growing at his feet. Silt would have sighed if he had the time to do so. Undoubtedly, he was in one painfully tight pinch, and the best thing to do would be to surrender.

Of course, this would be a problem. So....

He drew a tube from his left sleeve, and threw it down at the vine; acid spilled and flowed on the ground which the vine grew from; his right hand flipped the weapon around 2 times, and it extended into a scythe, which he held out in front of him as he began to back off.

Meanwhile, a strange craft burst out of the water near the coast. On the ship's deck, A fishman stood, tall and proud. "We've got the thief cornered," Salvat D. Jocar said. "Crut." He said, turning to a burly crustacean like fishman to his right. "You know the drill."

Crut Hakiji paused, with doubt in his eyes, then nodded. "Aye captain." he responded, stepping towards the centre of the deck, and aiming his claws.

Fenrir was moving fast, pounding along the ground. Gael had Fenrir move to Silt's side and prepare to broadside him. Gael had bamboo spears shoot out at Silt from behind. Silt obviously wouldn't come quietly.

Silt felt the ground shift, and out of instinct, he ducked, only one bamboo blade nicking his shoulder, drawing a trickle of blood. At the same time, he flashed the scythe to his side, and swung the blade in front of the wolf's eyes; he then flipped the switch at the handle, and a bright light flashes in the wolf's face.

Ryo was flying at a rather low altitude today. The frog was getting tired. "Ribbit..." It croaked to it's master. "Alright Ryo, we'll land. The next island seems to be quite close." The frog seemed to cheer up, and increased speed towards the island. It was dropping in altitude, flying lower and lower with each passing second. There was a town, and a manor in the island. "Let's land there, so you won't attract too much attention." He pointed to a clearing in the nearby woods.
The frog suddenly stopped, and glared down, near the manor. Several bullets had hit the creature. Apparently the marines had recognized the flyer. The flying frog took a nosedive. "No Ryo, no!" The frog screeched to a halt, hovering in the air. "Hairstorm." Dynar drew two guns with his hands, and six with his oddly lively green hair. He fired at the marines, forcing them to disperse. "Damnit, so much for not gathering any attention."

"We have a known pirate here!" Some marines were shouting near the manor. "Possible accomplice to the assassin! Find and apprehend Dynar 'of the Wing'!"

Fenrir was blinded and forced to step back, curling up and shielding his eyes with his tail. Two vines sprouted on either side of Silt and attempted to wrap around him and pin his arms to his side.

Silt uncovered one tube from under his right arm's sleeve and crouched, breaking the vine on the right side vine's ground. He spun on his heel, chopping the left vine down, whilst never taking his eyes off the wolf or the vines.

Silt had gathered that the enemy had a full radial, spherical 360 degree range of attack. He also knew that the silver wolf would recover any second later. If the opponent had the devil fruit he was thinking about.........

Gael smiled. This guy obviously knew what he was doing. Time for a surprise. A tree grew next to Silt, laden with wierd prickly fruits. With a quick gesture from Gael, the fruits began to fall. When they hit the ground, they would send needles everywhere. Fenrir backed off: he knew how much that stuff could hurt.

Martello watched, the schibukai was here as well which meant that there was something big on this island, he watched their fight, the marines requested permission to enter. Martello said no "Are you out of your mind, if you guys go in there, you would get between a schibukais battle, leave it to him, make sure the other does not escape......"

If Silt was surprised, the expression wasn't evident from behind the mask. The second he counted the possible moves and techniques a ki-ki fruit user could utilise and had listed the possibility of him growing harmful trees that spawned harmful fruit, surprise surprise, there it was; the second the tree blossomed, he saw the fruits' prickly outline in the moon light, and knew what it could do.

He also noted the silver wolf retreating; the wolf was 3 metres from him on his left, and so was the tree to his front. He quickly counted the best senses of a Canis Lupus based weapon, and made his decision. Without much warning, he abruptly ran......at the wolf. He took a fluorescent tube from his left sleeve, broke it on his knee on the run, and stuck the two pieces right in front of the wolf's nose. An extremely pungent smell wafted out from the broken shaft.

"Ryo, land there. I'll call you when I need you." Dynar told the frog, dropping down from the frog and using his hair to slow down his fall. He landed in an alley. "Hands up, pirate." A marine was behind him, threatening him with a rifle. He put his hands up, turning around. "Get going. I'm taking you to b-aarrrgh!" The marine fell down, shot by Dynar. His hair was holding the gun. He then sneaked off towards the manor.

"Fenrir!" Gael yelled, and Fenrir turned completely into a shield before he could get paralyzed. Gael kept him like that, and the fruits began sending needles everywhere. Gael closed his eyes and began gathering a thick cluster of vines. He opened his eyes, smiling. He raised his hands, then let them fall while pushing them forward. A veritable wave of vines rushed at Silt. Gael was sick of this guy: he had tried to harm his wolf's most precious sense.

Silt's patience had been wavering for quite a while; now that the wolf had turned into a shield, he knew the bout had to end. He felt the earth beneath his feet tremble violently, and he knew he was facing attacks from above (needles) and below (the vines).

He quickly did 4 things;

he popped the scythe tube tip open, withdrew a metal vial, and poured it's contents into the tube, leaving the tip slightly ajar; kicked the shield out of the way (Silt did not want a wolf chewing at his heels right now) and raised his left sleeve; he pressed his middle finger on a button under his palm; a second later, a tube flew out of the sleeve, with a sea stone crux taped to it, flying in the fruit user's direction. A second after he fired the projectile, with liquid nitrogen glazing and trailing the blade, he did a 360 twirl at the vines and needles now 2 metres from him, a veil of frozen hydrogen instantly dropping the temperature; by now, a few needles had hit him. Whatever needles remained, and the vines, froze mid flight and mid movement, the former raining on him like pieces of fragile ice cubes.
