The cyborgs head was cut off, and the cyborg malfunctioned and fell. However more were bearing down on Kiana, launching laser attacks at her at least 3 cyborgs at a time were firing laser beams at Kiana to bring her down. She had already destroyed one so quickly.

The cyborg was destroyed by Ranyxs attack, but the bandit leader with the skull mask was still safe. He still had 18 cyborgs at his disposal and two of the cyborgs were now standing in front of the bandit leader to protect him firing laser beams at Ranyx.

Satoshi was now fighting one of the cyborgs. He then used his white blade to cut through the cyborgs torso revaling its circuitry and the cyborg with one final spark burst into flames. Satoshi didnt bother looking at the explosion. He marveled at his new white blade "Its magnificient... so elegant... no wonder, after all Kiana made it. With this i can finally tear apart steel."

Ranyx somersaulted into the air, avoiding the lasers, and kicked off the air to shoot into one cyborg's head, hopefully crushing it, while he jumped off of it to bring his fist right into the other cyborg's face, having used Tekkai Kenpo to avoid hurting himself in the attacks.

Kiana was now surrounded; three cyborgs were bearing down upon her with their laser beams with two more on the way. Her lack of expression was unmoving as she spin her scythe in a figure eight movement, circumnavigating her lithe frame. Most of the laser blasts were parried with her scythe.... but on got away.
The was a dull thud on her left side and her eyes went wide as she gasped suddenly; she knew what had just happened. She regretted her carelessness instantly and she was now furious as she pulled the bottle of rum from a pouch at her hip to examine the hole that she knew was there.
"Anything but the rum... Goddamnit!! If you metal bastards wanted some, all you had to do was ask. I'll share... "
She tore the cork out and quickly poured most of the contents into her mouth, but only swallowing a little of the potent brew. Her eyes suddenly turned a demonic white-blue as her thermal energy peaked again. She suddenly blew the rum from her mouth, the heavy amounts of alcohol in the rum instantly vaporizing into a devastatingly scalding and residual vapor with a high affinity for metal. The rest of the vapor was scalding water vapor that traveled much further than the alcohol to the two cyborgs behind the initial three. Neither the alcohol vapor nor the water would be kind to the cyborgs circuits.
She didn't wait to observe the effects of the liquid on each individual victim; time was not a luxury she had in such a large battle. She executed an arial cartwheel her scythe arcing hard at the under edge of the torsos of the three cyborgs in front of her with another arcing slash along the top part of the torsos once she had landed.
She then finished the remainder of the contents of the still leaking bottle, after-which giving a bit of a disappointed pout.
"Why is the rum gone?"

Jim'd pissed off enough people in his day to know that there were only two things you could do when somebody snapped at you the way Kiana had just snapped at him: you could stop, or you could make it worse. Though the latter was usually much more fun, a rare streak of good sense told The Stranger that, today, he'd have to settle for the former.

"Right then...I'll keep just as very quiet as I can just as very long as possible," Jim promised as Kiana rushed off to fight the cyborg army. There was little incentive for him to meet an army of rampaging killbots head-on, but there was certainly even less to sit back and do absolutely nothing. Deciding that he would at least fight them on his own turn, Jim kicked his way off and began climbing skyward.

At a good height above the battle, James faced his palms earthward. The tiny glass beads at their centers began to glow as heated, cohesive light built behind them. A moment later he was raining down carefully aimed laser blasts, the colours changing with each individual burst, at the heads of the cyborgs. Though he maintained his place in the sky with his geppou-clone technique, he was mindful to be ready to dodge once the earthbound cyborg army took notice of him.

"Eeeh? Whassat?"
The man looked upwards, watched the lights come towards them... oh my, they came towards them very fast... Like... like... lasers!
"Oh sh*t!"
The mans eyes widened as he shouted it. then, suddenly, his face became very calm again.
"You think I'd say that?"
Something made a screeching sound as he kneeled down. His legs had formed into... well... springs...
There was no time to inspect them, though, as he was suddenly catapulted high into the air at hazardous speed, his fist slightly extended and ready to strike whoever was in his path like a bullet.

Jasmine watched Simon finally interfering in the fight. That man was so lazy... and he even ended up giving their enemies tips sometimes!
She understood very well why the government hadn't wanted them... twofaced bastard that he was...
She, herself wasn't a dirty fighter. As far as sneaking up on enemies from behind while being invisible counted as fair fighting. It was what she was about to do. That woman had been an annoyance to her ever since she had arrived. She was the one and only woman allowed here! Why did those other girls never see that! Well, word didn't spread much if you killed anyone who could have spread it...
She had her blade drawn and was ready to strike. A stab right through the heart, from behind. She wasn't one to be playing around.

Though Jim had been ready for the enemies to send return fire, he'd been somewhat less ready for the enemy to become return fire. When the previously inert bandit came soaring up into the sky at him, The Stranger had been slightly off-guard. The man's fist hooked into his gut fast enough to punch it out the back of him Kung-Pow style. Instead, Jim's midsection just swung out and around, rotating several times as it let most of the punch's energy pass.

Stopping his revolving-door stomach, Jim immediately fled into the relative safety of his air door. Even defending against the brunt of the blow, the punch still hurt; being on the receiving end of one of those unprepared was not on his to-do list.

"Can you give me soft asylum...?" Jim asked nobody in particular, watching from within the safety of his pocket dimension to see where the springy bastard would land. The soft parader decided to wait until he'd forgotten all about him and launched an attack on somebody else to mount his own counter.

The cyborgs countered Jim with their own laser, causing a mid air explosion. But this gave Satoshi a chance to cut 2 of the cyborgs down with his katanas. He was chopping, hacking and slashing away at this range. He was not afraid of the cyborgs, he was aiming to destroy all the cyborgs he could in his path with his relentless attack.

The three cyborgs were destroyed by Kianas attack. All three bursting into flames after Kiana had finished. But then more cyborgs aimed laser from a distance at Kiana ,while one cyborg aimed to punch her down from the side.

The cyborg facing Ranyx held its palm up to take the brunt of the Tekkai kenpo. and then used its other fist to slam Ranyx into the ground, or at least hoping to send him back flying.

Ranyx caught the punch with his freed Tekkai enhanced hand, and used the cyborg as a leverage point to flip it into the ground.

Simon grabbed on to one of the higher buidings and looked up to the sky. Now what had that been? What a freak... Just where had he disappeared to?
God, he was almost as bad as Jasmine. Except no one was as bad as Jasmine. He could swear she was watching him sleep sometimes... creepy girl.
Where was she anyway?
He looked down to the real battlefield, only to find he couldn't see her. Made sense. He shivered. She could be standing right behind him, ready to stab him right through the heart. And they said he was a backstabbing bastard... It was good to have the knowledge that she'd go for the girl first.
So was he... But he wasn't going to kill them. God, what a damn nice figure that one had...
After a while of staring at certain parts of it, he finally got his eyes to move on to other things. Like that swordsman slaughtering their cyborgs! Who did he think he was?
He felt the creaking he had gotten so used to in his legs as he kneeled and aimed for him carefully. Mister swordman had his back turned to him, which was good... Less time to realise what was coming.
For the second time today, he shot forward like a bullet. Only with a different goal.

"Relax," Jim said calmly, appearing directly behind Satoshi, a large air-door filling the space behind him. He spun to the side himself, his hand hinged on the air. The moment he'd seen the springy bandit set his eyes on Satoshi he'd taken a bet and bolted over to the lovey-dovey swordsman. Jim waited, hand on the door, to see if Simon's momentum would carry him straight through the air door and, resultantly, past his target without harm.

"We are...programmed to receive. You can check out any time you like, but..." If Simon did follow his trajectory into the pocket dimension as planned, Jim would slam the door behind him. It was an iffy strategy, at best: he'd be out of the battle for now, but The Stranger would risk bodily harm if he retreated to the normally safe private world of his air door.

"...you can never leave."

"Wha- Damn!"
Despite common believe, Simon wasn't stupid. He knew the man, and upon seeing him use that ability twice, he had gotten a pretty good impression of what it's do.
The drawback of his fruit was only that... well, once he had jumped, there was no way to stop. he had tried time after time again, always resulting in broken bones from connecting with the ground the wrong way at a speed way too high.
So he winced and closed his eyes.

Jasmine spinned around with the feeling that something was wrong. She took in the situation Simon was in. That fool!
Was he good for anything but sitting around and looking good? Oh, and looking after girls, of course?
She cursed, but kept her voce down to merely more than a whisper.
She had been so close to killing the girl! So close!
Then she ran at her top speed, which was really fast, and raised her blade, ready to cut down the man. Now only to hope she'd be fast enough.

Simon felt the change of air. Damn it all!
He slowly opened his eyes. yup, he had positively been going through that.. opening thing. either that, or he was dead.
At least it seemed to have stopped his ability. If that was a good thing. He turned his legs back to normal and looked around him.

No. Too late. But damn, would she cut that man down.
Simon might be a jerk, backstabber and menace even to people on his side, but he was one of them! Jasmine wouldn't let anyone hurt one of the bandits!
She was still some way from the door bastard, so she acted out of reflex. She took her throwing knifes, still as invisible as her, and threw them with all the accuracy she could manage.

The cyborg used pure power to throw Ranyx away. The machinery was surpassing the strength of Ranyx in tekkai kenpo. Not that thier armor was unbeatable, but their power was also very substantial, something that the bandit leader invested a lot of time on. The other cyborg nearby fired a laser beam at Ranyx.

Satoshi made a mental note to thank the door man for helping him out of that tight spot. He was now dodgind lasers at full speed. Using Flash Step to dodge the lasers to the point anyone watching would have seen double. He was flashing all over the place calmly. These cyborgs were not trying to approach him head on, they analyzed his fighting skill and knew he could destroy them. Satoshi knew he couldnt do this forever.

Before Jim had time to quote any more songs or gloat or anything, a stabbing pain took him in the shoulder where one of the hastily thrown invisible knives had struck him. They'd appeared in the air out of nowhere, with no warning. Though it hurt, The Stranger still smiled, completely unphased.

"Now, now," Jim said, turning in the direction he'd been stricken from, holding up one hand and using the other to pull the knife out of his flesh. When it was free he dropped it on the ground and held up the other hand too. "Let's not kill me too quickly now," he requested.

"Your friend with the marvelously high-tension legs is just fine, albiet hanging out in a pocket dimension on the other side of the doors," Jim explained to the empty air. "I've no real intention to leave him there forever, mate, but I can't let him out if I'm dead. So do please quit throwing knives at me; I'm not sure how many of them can be buried into my skeletal muscle before I start bleeding too fast to keep living."

Sighing, Jim put on a careless smile and leaned against nothing. He shrugged, lowering his hands.

"Or, of course, you can call my bluff and kill me. I suppose it's pretty foolhardy of me to think that I could bargain by capturing just one of you. I mean, if I die now he'll just wander in perception forever, able to see a world he can't interact with...starving to death surrounded by food, dying of thirst with water everywhere. Able to see his friends, but unable to reach them..."

James frowned a bit and scratched his head, wondering if his spectral assailant was still there, if she ever had been.

"Well, it's not pretty, and I've no real want to inflict that on anyone anyways. But it is, rest you assured, what'll happen to him if I die."

(Hotel Santa Goret, Speak? Haha ...you weirdo... :p)

Kiana's lifted her glowing visage to meet the dull eyes of her humanoid attackers. Her eyes were still glazed over with rage. A few carefully executed backflips barely moved her out of the precision range of the lasers. A blunt cyborg punch narrowly tagged her side, sending her in a rough tumble across the field. She rolled to her feet, taking a running leap with. Her blazing hot scythe was now gripped with white-knuckle tightness. She brought it down hard on the offending arm as she stepped away to take another slash at the knees. The battle was wearing on and the enemies kept coming. The entire situation was infuriating to her.

"You unimaginable IDIOTS!! You are WASTING all of your resources on two people who came here for a hand full of rocks and a geological survey and also a hand full of people who also mean you no bloody harm ... when someone actually comes to ravage this place... you will have NOTHING LEFT!! You will be ragged and defenseless! You have spat upon the graves of your fallen brethren by means of your reckless stupidity and this, I cannot forgive. Now, I shall aid you in joining their ranks."

Her eyes suddenly flickered about the battlefield in search of Satoshi. She had never known what it was like to worry about anyone before and she found it to be terribly unpleasant... like being shot through the stomach and being left with an invisible wound. Her relieved eyes finally found him, still hacking away at the relentless cyborgs. He didn't show any signs of fatigue but she knew that even the best stamina had its limits.

She activated the poison switch on scythe as she raced along the side of one of the cyborg currently plaguing Satoshi with its bothersome lasers. She takes a running leap, bringing her scythe at an oblique angle at the torso of the cyborg where most of the human tissues are probably located and the most susceptible to the necrotizing poison. Without lingering for another hit she moves onto another one, boldly taking her chances in front of the creature, she takes a vicious overhead slash, seeking to lodge her blade deep in the cyborgs chest to leave a venomous gift as well.

She runs alongside Satoshi, her scythe mildly twirling at guard.
"Bushido... are you alright? Should we regroup? You must be getting tired and these metal bastards keep coming... Their aim is terrible but eventually one of them is bound to get lucky... please be careful, Satoshi ... If anything happened to you, I-..."

"NOT NOW! Go AWAY!!" She was suddenly yelling at a cyborg that had rudely approached her from the left side while she was busy yapping. She was very disgruntled at having been interrupted and disapprovingly brought her scythe down at a vertical angle in attempt to cleave the head of the obnoxious, metallic intruder.

Suddenly her attention moved to Jim, taking note of his bizarre wound. Those were not laser blasts and something was rigidly holding the wound open. She narrowed her eyes, knowing something far more annoying than those cyborgs was lurking on the battlefield, unseen... hunting. She moved closer to Jim holding her scythe tightly as she also unsheathed her katana with her other hand to stand at guard with as much metal surface area as possible at her disposal. Jim wasn't really a fighter type so she found it rather pathetic and cowardly that this hunting guerilla bastard would exploit him this way, like an old sickly wildebeest.

Satoshi gritted his teeth as he sliced through another cyborg. At that point Kiana had just reached here and was cutting down the cyborgs on her side. Satoshi then said "No, we musnt regroup, its alright like this, i can keep moving... the only way to end this battle must be the bandit leader... he was holding some button earlier on.. Kiana, we need to get to him, once we beat him down, we win this battle!!" Satoshi now knew where the target was, he just needed a clear path to victory.

Te cyborgs were falling faster than anticipated. There were at least 10 cyborgs left. The man in the mask then sighed "This is a huge drawback for me, but it is not an issue, i will simply build more weapons.... soon we will be feared by many especially if we can kill the Anubis pirate crews 1st mate, Satoshi "The Lightning Beast" !!!!"

Jasmine still stood in the same spot, weighing her sword in her hand. If she killed him, Simon would die... Then again, maybe he was bluffing. Why should he be telling the truth?
"Is it true what you say?... Is Simon going to die?"
Only afterwards did it occur to her that talking wasn't the best idea she ever had.

Kiana gave a faint nod of acknowledgement as she ran her scythe under her arm in a sharp back thrust, forcibly attempting to impale the cyborg who only thought he was sneaking up on her.
"Understood."
She slowly turned toward the masked man, a sharp breeze catching her hair as she turned, flickering a few stray raven tresses across her face adding a dark and dramatic contrast to her glowing azure eyes. His words crawled through her like fire; she shivered as her growing rage shook her lithe frame to its core. Her scythe and katana were both glowing white with excessive heat.
"Such lofty words for a masked coward... I'm afraid you'll have to muster more than these disgruntled marching rubbish bins and kill me here and now be for I will allow that to happen... "

The bandit leader was now snarling "I have heard enough of your rubbish you stupid little girl!!!! You can just die with that swordsman boyfriend of yours!!!" Satoshi blushed "Ummm, shes not my... well, we are more like, travel companions, but you see... ummm, unless she thinks of me that way.. i dont really mind.. i mean, its not bad at all.... aRGGHH to hell with it, lets just cut him down and finish this!!" Satoshi burst foward with speed and then used Neo Beast Fang, to jump up with his swords again moving in a buzz saw motion and slicing through the cyborgs arms and destroying it instantly. He then rampaged through hoping to make the breakthrough. The final target was just beyond there, and if he was defeated all would end.

She narrowed her eyes at the man, her rage was still silently rising. She was horribly unamused by his worthless ramblings.
"Like I said... you'll have to kill me first before you'll come near my bushido-... er, I mean ... that swordsman! ... but it seems that you're too busy running that trap of yours... "
She was momentarily distracted by Satoshi who has fallen back into another one of his moments of flustered babbling ... such an endearing train wreck he turned into at times. She was fascinated by the stark contrast it was to when he was focused on battle.
She refocused on the task and hand and darted forward, her focused eyes hardly acknowledging the cyborg that stood between her and her goal. Her foot came up to use the cyborgs own knee to climb up as she aimed the eager end of her katana blades aiming directly for the cyborg's mouth, giving a sharp forward thrust in attempt to impale its unfortunate skull.

Satoshi was breakig through the cyborgs cutting them down and then he jumped over two of them lunging foward, the bandit leader was now in his sights, this battle was going to end now, he would cut down the bandit leader from the front and end it all.

How naive he was. Satoshi did not see the cyborg behind him turn around . He did not see the cyborg grab his leg. Neither could he see the cyborg slamming him to the ground with full force. Satoshi was in so much pain. He was caught for the first time in a few months. He had made the mistake that cost him this battle. The bandit leader grinned "In the end , this was all you people coculd do..."

Kiana was focused and did not see that Satoshi had fallen behind until she heard the man speak when she was almost upon him. At that moment she feared the worst; her heart sank a bit and her blue eyes began to reflect a demonic red glow as she lunged for him. She felt her blood curdle as an overwhelming rage rippled through her.

She held her katana over the blade of her scythe, constructing a sort of wicked pair of scissors, it's trajectory aimed precisely for the mans neck. Her face was expressionless as she pulled the blades apart with enough force to instantly sever the mans neck from his body in a single fluid motion. She heard a bit of a scuffle and quickly turned away from the man, no matter what became of him under the influence of her blades. Her eyes widened; Satoshi was still alive.
"Satoshi..."

Her eyes still reflected the furious red flames of hell itself. She let her well aimed scythe fall into the face of the offending cyborg, the hot curved blade working its way through the nasal cavity and down it's throat before it snags the wall of the tissue. She rotated the blade as she pulls it away, removing the unfortunate creature's esophagus through where it nostrils used to be, like a misguided mummification executed on a living specimen.

She kneels near Satoshi for a moment.
"Bushido... are you ok?"
She stands guard over him, her scythe rotating threateningly as she gazes around for any other threats, the demonic flicker still raging inside her eyes.

The bandit leader fell backwards. He was falling into darkness, yes darkness. The irony was not lost on his fading mind. So this was what death felt like? Its not so bad, once you get past the part where you get cut down. The man in the skull mask had finally lost, and as he pondered his life, he wondered where it had gone wrong. In a previous time before the slaughter, he was a renowned world scientist from Santa Goret. He was aiming to build cyborgs and robots that could perform agricultural and developmental work. But that dream was crushed after the slaughter. His actions which he believed was self righteous, was indeed misguided. He should have rebuilt. He should have tried revival, but the memories of his dead family made him a coward to try that , so he resorted to this. The man in the skull mask laughed before he died , at least now, he could rest.

Satoshi got up. The remainder cyborgs stopped moving, and Satoshi clutching his legs looked up to Kiana "Im fine, it would seem the battle has ended Kiana.."

Kiana turned to distastefully watch the last vestiges of life run out of the man in the mask. She wasn't sure what was more depressing, the initial slaughter or these people throwing their lives away for the sake of attacking people who meant them no harm. She shook her head in disappointment before turning her attention back to Satoshi; he looked awful.

"Bushido... I... I'm so sorry I dragged you into this bloody horrible mess... Wait... you're not fine... you look terrible... you need a cold press and some bandages... I should get you some water... you should rest, I think-...I'll go now..."
She finally managed to shut up for a bit and started off to go gather supplies. She suddenly turned and wander back to him and gazed at him carefully with her now calm blue eyes.

"Satoshi... thank you. For everything... I...I should go...you're bleeding and ..."
She bit her lower a lip for a moment to silence herself because she was now rambling almost as badly as he usually does.

Satoshi chuckled, he was very glad to see that Kiana was worried about him, but he still wanted her to be happy rather than sad. The funny thing is bleeding or not, Satoshi was used to injury much worse than this. He got up , his legs buzzing with sharp pain. He then said "Im ok Kiana.. really i am... please , ummmm, i might need ice though? that would help me with this pain, and ummmm im also glad, to see you are ok, umm, not that you cant take care of yourselves, you were really strong!!"

Satoshi was blushing, somehow he felt he said something wrong.

She watched him carefully, her eyes shimmering with uncharacteristic concern. She puts two fingers over his lips to shut him up, though amused by his rambling. She knew she needed to go and gather supplies but she was a bit afraid to leave him in this still hostile environment in such dismal condition.

She sheaths her katana and suddenly remembers she always keeps a small amount of minor medical supplies on her person because she frequently and ... stupidly uses her katana to cut fruit, which she is really quite terrible at. She would try to get at least something taken care of before she went to fetch the ice.

She removes a small vial of glacier water, a small pouch of antibiotic gel, and a small roll of bandage wrap. She pours a small amount of the water over a cut on the side of his head to clean it a bit before carefully placing ointment on the bandage and applying it lightly to the cut.

Even with the bandage in place, he still looked awful and she felt horrible for putting him through all of this because of her obsession with ... rocks. She quite suddenly drops her scythe, a rare occurrence indeed, and gently place a hand on both sides of his face. She lightly kisses his forehead and whispers faintly. "I'm so very sorry for all of this."

She picks up her scythe again as she scans the area for danger.
"Um... could you stay here?... I'll be back soon... I have to go back to the ship for ice. I always keep glacier pieces around to crush and then chew on in that bloody hot forge... oh never mind... um... Please, don't move too much."
She took off in a solid sprint, despite her ribs reminding her of their unfriendly rendezvous with a sodding cyborg's fist.
