It had been a few days after the war of Arabasta. After a long and epic battle, the Anubis Pirates finally managed to win the battle against the forces of Arabasta that united with the marines and so Anubis officially became the king of Arabasta. Meanwhile, while the war was taking place, though, a conspiracy was taking place. The youngest brother of Anubis allied himself with the World Government and the CP9 was sent to Arabasta in order to dispose of Anubis and his other brother. However, there was another part of the plan that the evil brother of Anubis did not know. If the plan failed, the CP9 was ordered to kill the evil brother to leave no traces of their pressence around Arabasta... And so it happened...

And now, a few days after the war of Arabasta, after the mission of CP9 ended without a success but without a failure as well, the CP9 has been gathered again at the Tower of Justice so that the new director would give them their new missions. Apparently, after the war a new director was appointed and so he wanted to talk with the current members of the secret assassination troup of the World Government. He had to inform them about their new missions.

"Attention please! All the CP9 members have to gather at the office of the director in 5 minutes! Attention please! All the CP9 members have to gather at the office of the director in 5 minutes!" a voice was heard to the whole building of the Tower of Justice, asking the CP9 members to appear at the office of the director.

[[5 minutes later]]

The new director is looking towards the sea through the window. It had been a while since he wanted to do that. He finally took the position of the unit's director after so long. After all, he was working for so long and he was devoted to the unit... He had spent many years in his missions and rarely failed. And now, he was finally the director. Melvin Faust was the new leader of Cipher Pol 9.

"Hm... They are late..." he commented and he waited for the others to enter his office.

The grey haired man with the white suit and tinted sunglasses walked into Melvin Fausts office yawning . He then sat down on the sofa "Good day Director... I would like to point out that i am here....." He sat up with his legs on the table before him.

Sister Maria had just walked into the office after being summoned by the director himself "And so the angel of justice is called to service. Pleasant meeting my brethen again. Brother Melvin I see you are doing well. The gods favor u with their blessing. May u strike the heathens who dare cross these holy lands." She took her place at the table still injured from the war and her battle with Clearwater.

It was a good day to be a 140 years old pink haired WG agent. She was finally going to be officially pulled out of her deep freeze. She didn't have a decent mission in ages, and while she was being bounced between units and divisions, wars and battles broke loose around the world while she could only watch. Not literally, her sight was as good as it used to be, but she could listen to the battles through the Den Den Mushi waves and feel sorry for not being there.

But today was a special day, Chichi was officially pulled out of the frozen list after the events of the war in Alabasta and the victory of Yonkou Anubis, and was finally going to get a steady role, as a CP9 agent. She strolled down the halls of the Tower of Justice, her old wooden walking stick drumming on the floor with every step and her braided pink hair flailing about. She was barely 4 feet tall while walking, but her aura of respect was enough to make anyone she strolled past give her some space, being so old had its benefits.

She arrived at the office 2 minutes after the designated time for the meeting, blaming the ridiculous amount of stairs she had to walk past in her old age for her late arrival. After making sure the room was the right one, a difficult task for a woman with her eye sight, she entered the office, nodding to all three of the agents who were already there. "Sorry I'm late everyone, had some trouble with the stairs" she said, not even trying to make a joke. At her current state, the last thing she looked like was a future CP9 agent.

Morbius sat on the couch with his feet on the table. He was still feeling tired after todays training regime. He had learnt Te Awase and Geppou recently after returning from the Alabasta battle. In truth , Morbius had been working on geppou for weeks, it was the hardest one for him to get a grasp on. Even now, he couldnt walk on air for too long, he always had to fall back to earth within the span of 20 minutes. Te Awase was something important to learn, in order to grasp his brothers power and learn ways to amplify the strength at particular limbs during specific attacks. That training seemed to be a waste of time however, it was hard to amplify strength to one part of the body like that, it was even harder to consider. As long as Morbius couldnt grasp this concept he was always going to struggle to learn the more advance arts of rokushiki like semei kikan and rokougan.

Morbius acknowledged the old grandma who had entered, it was Mrs Chichi, the lady who had been around with the World Government for as long as he could remember. She was there at the first day when Morbius had just entered training at CP9."Hello there ba san...... its been a while... you been busy have you?" Morbius also waved to Maria and was slightly pleased to see her doing so well, it was proof that his decision to save her and bring her back to HQ wasnt a mistake.

The newly recruited agent pushed the door open and walked into the office. He was late, but not by much, and hopefully this wouldn't be a blemish on him. The man took off his hat and placed it over his heart, bowing down speaking;
"Sorry for being so late, director. It will not happen again.


Olrar stood back up and placed his hat back onto his head. He walked over towards the couch and sat himself down next to Morbius, nodding to the other agents as he walked through the room. Once Olrar sat down, he crossed his left leg over his right and folded his arms, patiently awaiting the director's words.

"Theodore...Theo...Theodoreeeee...No, Theo." Theodore muttered, still trying to get used to his newly given name. A loud voice came smashing into his ears saying that there was a meeting in 5 minutes.

'It's kind of strange that I'm in this position,' Theo thought to himself while slipping on his shoes. 'Last week I was knocking over buildings and today I'm in CP9...' Looking at his expansive collection of suit jackets, Theo decided that since this would be his first time meeting these guys, he would impress. He chose his golden jacket.

'A golden jacket and black and white pinstriped pants...Well, they will either be impressed or confused...Oh well.' He imagined as he walked through his door.

He wanted to look as menacingly as possible, and thus he tried to push his cheek flab down so his eyes would look more dangerous. He took his golden watch out of his pocket and slipped it on. Letting them know he was rich couldn't hurt.

Walking down the corridor, he glanced at some of the pictures of past members on the wall. 'I'm one of them now...man...I'm pretty badass.' He was trying to give himself some confidence, so he would fit in with the rest of the members.

He arrived at the door to the meeting room, and prepped himself. He checked to make sure his jet black hair was slicked back enough, his pants were pressed enough, his jacket was shiny enough. Everything checked out.

He pushed open the door and tried to make a big, yet, not obnoxious entrance. He quickly went and sat down, awaiting orders.

After struggling to climb into her sit, Chichi tried to listen to Morbius, who apparently knew her. It wasn't surprising, thanks to her sudden recruitment to the WG after 80 years of nonexistence her reputation was reaching places before her nowadays, especially with her current poor walking capabilities. It was problematic though, since Chichi had a pretty bad memory as well, and couldn't remember the faces and names of every marine and WG agent she came upon.

"Actually no" She answered, creating an opening for an incoming rant. "I've been suspended out of missions for almost a year now, so I haven't been busy at all..." She said. Unlike the old woman she was, Chichi was eager for action, she couldn't stand the sight of the Tower of Justice any longer, it was starting to mess with her temper. Chichi was about to ask Morbius a similar question in return but the entrances of two more CP9 agents attracted her attention. The new arrivals seemed more formal and obedient than the others, although the last one seemed a bit too flashy for her liking, but it was a younger generation so what could she do?

Not sure why the meeting wasn't commencing, Theo tried to get himself situated. He knew he was probably the weakest CP9, and thus he didn't want to act all high and mighty.

Well, what are we waiting for? Heh heh... He mentioned, using the fake laugh as way to try to make the situation less awkward.

Deciding he would try to understand his teammates, he looked around. First he looked at the leader. He was standing, looking out the window to the sea. Theo looked at his leather jacket. It was a little worn down, as is expected from something worn so often. Just a look at the leaders hands let him know that something was happening. And whatever it was, it wasn't gonna be a very good thing to the opponent.

He then looked over at the couch and saw an old man who had an uncanny youthfulness about him. The man's feet were resting on the counter, making everyone else feel quite uncomfortable. The fact that he is so relaxed could be trouble for all of them, if Melvin decides it's disrespectful. Theo scanned him, but couldn't decipher who he was, until finally he arrived at his face, understanding he was Tamuri "Pirate Killer" Morbis. It was very possible he was the strongest man Theo had seen in a while. Theo looked at his features, up to the way his hands were placed, and tried to copy him. Theo had such a respect for this man, that he almost started crying.

Theo finally broke the trance and continued to scan the crew. Theo's eyes then rested upon the one known as Sister Maria. She looked very out of place, though this may be a ploy by her. Wearing a nun outfit, it confused Theo why he just now noticed her. There wasn't anything else he could really say about her.

Shifting his focus to the next person in the room. Another old woman. 'Is this a joke or something? What could she do? At least I'm not the weakest.' Theo thought to himself. He scanned her and finally arrived at her face, nothing special. But then he looked at her hair. His whole demeanor shifted, this was Chichi Tsubasa, one of the most well known marines in the world. He couldn't believe this. He was in the room of two of the most legendary marines ever.

In the midst of this awe, Theo had inadvertently started transforming into an elephant. His chair suddenly broke under the weight and he crashed on the ground, broken from the trance. "Oh...heh heh....sorry. I can pay for that." He said, embarrassed. 'This was the most exciting moment of his life! How could he put doubt into the director and other members by showing he didn't have complete control of his devil fruit? This had never happened before! Why NOW?' he thought, mentally abusing himself.

Deciding to finish his evaluation, he looked at another member. Olrar, the newest member. The only member who was more new and perhaps less experienced than himself. Though he had never heard of this Olrar, he was impressed with him, seeing his dressing style. He preferred his own, more flashy style, but he liked this one too.

He glanced around once again, noting that he might be the only one able to use all of the rokushiki forms. He then noticed that he was still sitting on the ground. Seeing the chair behind him, he simply used geppou, while sitting down, and landed in the chair, hoping to do away some of the shame that may have been cast upon him.


He then continued waiting, not knowing what to do.

Melvin was looking at Enies Lobby from the window of his office as more and more members arrived at the place. Apparently, not all of them had gathered at the place. Some people were missing and he would have to wait for them. He had to talk to all the members at the same time... Melvin hated saying the same thing more than once and so he could not start the conversation. On top of that, if he explained all he had to tell to the members that were present at that time, he could forget to mention some things to the other members who were not present at the tower. As a result, there was nothing he could do other than wait...

"I am sorry for the inconvenience, ladies and gentlemen." Melvin said while looking outside. "Most of you might be present but some of you are missing... So you will have to wait a little bit more.". Then, he turned his head towards Theodore who had just broken the chair he was sitting at by transforming accidentally in his elephant form. Melvin looked at him with a serious look on his face, speaking a few words as a reply to his previous statement that he would pay for the broken chair. "Indeed you will pay that, Mr. Torrio. Or should I call you, Max-san?".

"Haha, That's not my name anymore. After the fight that broke out in Kikiriko, the marines made me change my name. They changed it to Theodore. I'm still getting accustomed to it, though. Theodore replied, explaining why he changed his name.

"Also, not to disrespect you, but I think you are mistaken. I believe there are only 6 members in CP9 currently." Theodore said, tip-toeing with his words. He didn't want to be disrespectful at all, but he had to be confident or he wouldn't respected.

Theo, very anxious, then reached inside his pocket and pulled out a cuban cigar. He stuck in his mouth and lit it, making sure to blow the smoke away from everyone else. He suddenly got a lot less anxious and began relaxing.

"I already know that... But the marines are not priests to baptize you and give you a new name... I can go with what they did but as long as we are at my office, I shall address you with your real name... As the director I have kept track of any files related to you, I know who you are and I know some parts of your past... And I must say that I will not accept having the son of a pirate doubting what I say and disrespect me..." Melvin said with an evil look on his face while staring at his subordinate. "I do not allow being disrespected... Especially when I am right and the others are wrong... And Max, trust me, if you do not want me to end up sending you in the hardest mission to the New World, I suggest you to close your mouth and wait patiently until your two colleagues arrive. Any disputes between the CP9 is something that I do not want in any case and my higher ups do not want that, as well, especially because I recently received this position... So can you listen to what I say, please?" Melvin completed and he sat on his chair behind his office, while waiting for the others to arrive.

"Uh-Un-Understood..." Theo said, finally seeing the real Melvin. He is very intimidating.

Theo sank back into his chair, wanting to ask a question but scared to.

He decided to. "Who are the other two? I haven't heard of anyone else in CP9 other than us?" Theo said, hoping that Melvin doesn't take it as offensive.

Morbius sat up slightly but then went back down when the new guy was acting weird. Morbius relaxed back again and was observing the back and forth between the new guy and the director.

Morbius then chuckled "Hey director, arent you being a bit harsh to the new kid? Im sure he didnt mean anything by it.... i think... then again i could be wrong, who knows? At least Chichi san is here, we thought she would be the last one to get here." Morbius was really testing the waters with that comment, he wanted to bait Chichi into doing something. If anyone could beat Todd it was this old lady, as weird as that sounded.

Olrar saw the man called Theodore walk into the room. Olrar continued to watch him and began to laugh to himself when he inadvertently shifted into an elephant form. Was this guy so inexperienced that he couldn't control when he changed form? Or maybe he thought of some elephants and got excited. Olrar began to laugh slightly louder at his own thoughts and then calmed down for a bit. He remained silent until the man who had just earlier turned into an elephant had to use Geppo to sit in his chair. After seeing this, Olrar began to laugh more. How much of an idiot must a man be that he can't sit in a chair without the aid of rokushiki? Olrar laughed for a while before stopping. As he stopped he took off his hat and scratched his head. Afterwards he placed it back onto his head, laughing for a bit. When he finally stopped laughing, Olrar spoke up;
"Director, who exactly are these others that we're waiting for, hm?"
After speaking, Olrar glanced over at Theodore once more and gave a tiny laugh to himself.

While the other CP9 members goofed off, Chichi sat silently in her chair. 'Today's generation has no respect, no self control, how dare they argue with their director?' She thought angrily as the others displayed her thoughts. When Morbius mentioned her, Chichi raised an eyebrow at his direction. What made him so confident and open? was he actually questioning the director? If Chichi was in charge, he would have found himself scrubbing decks for a month after his remark. Unfortunately, today the marines and WG acted differently, and Chichi had to get used to the new rules and codes, no matter how bad she disliked them.

She'll have to keep an eye on these new CP9 agents. Being so careless with their opinions could have hinted their strength, although the shining one didn't seem to have full control over his abilities. She wanted to talk back, but decided it would be disrespectful towards the director, and the last thing she wanted was to act like the modern agents. Instead, she simply tapped the floor with her cane, awaiting patiently for the late agents.

Maria just sat quietly while sitting down for the meeting not wanting to intterupt. She had more urgent things to attend to. The Gorosei had recently been award with an very great gift for her efforts in the war. A devil fruit the Mane Mane no mi was placed on the table. Maria just began to eat the fruit while everyone was busy. One bit and Maria instantly feel sick. For such a powerful thing it tasted horrible. She started to gag as soon as she swallowed it. "Good Lord in heaven, that was the foulest thing I ever tasted." Maria wondered if the fruit worked...

Noticing that everyone else was watching him, Theo tried to change the subject.

Seeing Maria eat a devil fruit suprized Theo. "You're just eating a devil fruit? Just casually eating the most powerful thing in the world?" Theo said, almost yelling at Maria.

"Hmph... That is the way things are done in Cipher Pol 9..." Melvin commented as soon as he listened to the question of his newly transferred subordinate. "And just for the record... A devil fruit is not the most powerful thing in the world... There are indeed some quite powerful fruits, but if their user does not know how to control them, that means nothing. For example, if a fruit like Hiso Hiso no Mi was eaten by a person who is an animal tamer, that fruit would become a deadly weapon... On the other hand, if a fruit like Gura Gura no Mi was eaten by a creature that cannot really think at all, it would be pretty useless... And where are the other two... We have some serious job to do here..." Melvin continued saying, while he waited for the other two members of CP9. "Those idiots... They will be punished for being late, be sure about that." he finished and turned towards Olrar "You will find out very soon who they are..." he said.

Maria ingored the loud recruit shooting out a fist...nothing happened. How did this fruit work? How do ability users use their power? What was the nature of this devil fruit. The only thing she knew it was a paramecia that allowed the user to copy a person's appearance. Hmmm maybe she had to touch someone first? Maria turned and tried slapped Teo with her right hand. If it worked Maria would instantly copy his appearance.

Morbius looked up for a bit and chuckled "Another devil fruit user amongst us... this can only end well... me personally , i dont have the need to rely on such powers to win my fights.... ill use good ol blunt force Trauma, it works the best after all. Morbius stood up and walked to the window "But we should be wary of the girls abilities, we might need to add it into our military might ...... but im interested in what Chichi senpai has to say about this" Morbius was clearly most interested in Chichi than all the others. To him, she was the most powerful here.

"OW." Theo said, getting slapped by the woman. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?"

This was obviously an appropriate response to getting slapped by this crazy chick. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU SLAP ME?" Theo said, holding his face. He sat down and tried to relax, waiting for a response.

"Silence." Melvin said with a serious look on his face as soon as Maria slapped Theodore and he slammed his right hand on his office with great strength, causing a small crack on it and creating a loud sound that could be heard even out of the office. "You are not here to fight each other..." Melvin commented and he got up from his seat. Then, he grabbed a Den Den Mushi in order to contact somebody. He waited a few seconds impatiently. While waiting, he was moving his right foot up and down due to his impatience. As soon as somebody responded to his call, he started speaking without even greeting "It's Director Faust here. Call Agents Ghost and Razor now! Tell them to get right here right now otherwise I promise to ask my superiors to have them sent to the New World! Do you understand?". "Yes, sir!" the man behind the Den Den Mushi said and the connection was shut off. Then, Melvin sat on his chair again and he stopped talking while waiting for the other two agents... The two agents made the director angry because of being late...

Chichi looked at Morbius once again, it seemed like the young agent took a special interest in her skills. "All I have to say is that I respect your courage... uh... young lady" Chichi said, struggling to remember Maria's name. "Eating a devil fruit is a life changing decision, you took it very quickly, perhaps a bit too quickly, a very bold move" Chichi explained. Throughout her life, Chichi got to meet many devil fruit users, and while some of them sued their fruits to achieve unbelievable feats, some of them ruined their lives with the simple act of eating one in the first place. "They don't call them DEVIL fruits for nothing..." Chichi said while recalling some drowning cases back in the days.

The CP9 agents were different than what she expected. They lacked discipline, they were late for their very first meetings, lost control of their powers and even hit one another, no doubt any of these wasn't supposed to happen. She could hope her new director would be skilled enough to put the agents under the short leash they deserved.

In an instant Maria morphed into Theo "What an insteresting ability Ohheheheeh this will come in handy in later missions." Maria looked at Theo who had fallen on the floor "That was to teach u to hold ur tongue. I didn't survive a war just to be yelled at by come choir boy." She shook as her director nearly crushed the table "Mah apologies father." Then Chichi commented on her new abilites "You are entitled to ur opinons sister, but I think the benefits are worth it. I can be anyone, anywhere at anytime. Do u know what advatage the government will have if I infintrated just one yonkou crew. Their secrets, battle plans, and movement will be ours. I cannot simply toss away an opportunity like this."
