Appearance: He has brown hair covered by this hat (use the link at the botto,) that is always on, and always tilted a little to the right side. He wears a black shirt, and over it is a brown leather jacket. He has dark blue jeans with tears at the very bottom and a brown belt always hidden under his shirt. His shoes were originally white and red, but after use they turned more greyish, and the read parts have fallen off. His eyes are bright foresty green, and he is fairly tall. He is average weight, and averagely muscular.

History: James grew up on a rather large island that had advanced discoveries in fields of science and history. James loved studying, but his atitude kept him from working on the same projects, as he wanted to keep going up and up and up. He dreamed of flying, so he studied birds, as they flew, and eventually made a prototype glider. It didn't work. He broke his arm, and the glider shattered, but he learned something. After a week he figured out what the problem was and corrected it. It took a while, but he had remade his glider. On the test day it was hijacked by a pirate, and so he dislikes pirates. After a while the navy requested his talents in making a recon flier to study the enemies, but he wasn't paid enough for the vehicle and they continued to pressure him, and so he currently dislikes the navy as well for what they did. After meeting a poor beggar on the sea he decided there wasn't a good and evil, just who's making the smarter choice. He finally completed a hang-glider and tried to fly away. He crashed into a ship where he met a scientist who messed around with it, by fixing it and forcing a devil fruit into it.

Personality: James is cocky, flashy, and rather rude. He doesn't mind many things, except these three things. 1) bad (as defined by him) music 2) someone who cheats in a game 3) people who make bets they can't pay. If you don't do those things he won't hate you, but he still might make fun of you. There are three things that make him really happy and they are, 1) free meals 2) hot girls and 3) playing with old things, like a twelve year old hand-gun or a fifty year ship.

Ship: a tiny little dinghy with a chain hook on it.

Special Abilities: powers excluding the devil fruit not techniques for example a sword style

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): 1, upside down maneuvering. Can fly upside down on the albatross form, only uses it if he doesn't have his hat
2, wing gunnery, can shoot while hanging on the albatross
3, glider attachment, attaches knife to front of glider to stab enemies with a charge

Weapons/Items: Storm-glider, a hand gun, and a knife

Goals: build an airplane (he doesn't call it that.)

I'm not sure why but I'm in the same boat with my newest character.

As long as the weapon is approved, which it is, than this character checks out fine. APPROVED!

Also, what crew should I make him join? (I wanna do matchlock vigilantes, but they have said no, there ship was too small. He does have his own ship though...)

You got the order wrong (but who cares) if I remember right, and it's not just that, I remember the exact condition. You need at least two of the rings, but if you have only two he will be much weaker. Also when he is summoned he says his corny line, BY YOUR POWERS COMBINED I AM CAPTAIN PLANET!
