Hokori Shingai

Kori was born in Loguetown on the East Blue. He had a rough and odd childhood, but he accepted and was always just genuinely happy no matter how his life was. His parents were both pirates on the same crew his father being captain, and for the most of his child hood they were gone. He always dreamed of one day sailing the seas with them. Until one day, His parents and their whole crew had come to Loguetown not only to visit their child, but also to watch one of the most remarkable moments in pirates' history: Gol D. Roger's execution. Kori as still a young boy asked his parents "why the navy would do such a thing?" His parents replied saying that the man was the greatest pirate to have ever lived, and that the navy and pirates must always fight. It is their nature to fight each other. The execution and Gol D.'s last words ushered in a great new age of pirates. The next day when Kori's parents were going to sail off. He begged them to bring him with them on their next voyage. He joined them at sail, and they had many adventures.

   One day, Kori was a young adolescent and he was tarving, so he went to find where the crew chef stored the food and he found an odd fruit sealed away. He thought it was some sort of delicious exotic fruit that the chef planned to use for his cooking since it was sealed away. He considered not eating, but then again he thought that they can always get more food. He pulled it out and ate it all very quickly. He all of a sudden noticed a terrible after taste. He tried to spit out, but he couldn't. Later that day, Kori's father noticed the "special" fruit was gone, and he asked everyone where it was. Kori responded to him, telling him he ate it and it was disgusting. His father told him it was a devil fruit, called the Goro Goro no mi or Rumble Rumble fruit. It gave him an extremely powerful ability, that could let him create, and control, and transform into pure electricity. Kori was in awe. He had only heard of rumors and tales of devil fruits and their users. This didn't change the amount of punishment Kori was given. Usually, in situations like these, the member of the crew would be killed or turned into the navy for stealing one of the crew's greatest treasures, but since he was the thirteen year old son of the captain, he was exiled to a year of survival on a nearby island. His dad actually was doing this to please the rest of the crew, but also he hopes for it to train Kori.

  Kori spent a month fighting for his life until he found a sign of humanity in a small village of odd tribal men that attacked him, and he ran away from them until an old man who was praised by the tribal people. Kori with so many questions asked him who exactly he was. The old man responded with someone whose time has passed and seeks knowledge to pass on. It turned out the tribal people had a great library where the old man was studying and doing research. The next day, after many feasts and celebrations, Kori explained to the man his story. The old man smiled and looked away to the sky around the Gol D. Roger part as if he was reminiscing about some great adventures. After Kori explained everything, the man stood up all of a sudden and said "So you at the Goro Goro no mi? It is a very powerful devil fruit, also being a Logia type. The old man offered to teach Kori how to use his powers, and of course Kori accepted the offer.

  Kori spent the next eleven months training with the old man, who he had grown fond of. When it was time for Kori to leave, he said his goodbyes and headed to the place he was dropped off at. The old man only thought that Maybe I shouldn't die yet. Kori always told the old man his dream: to become king of the pirates. Kori arrived to the place and waited there for a few hours until his parents and their crew arrived. Everyone greeted him happily. They were all over the trouble he had caused them.  Once Kori boarded the ship, his father explained to him that they had done bad things to the navy and were now wanted. Kori thought it was cool and exciting. He showed them his newly mastered abilities and said, "no one can stop us".

  A few weeks later that night, when few were awake an alarm on the ship was sounded. They had become surrounded bu the navy including a navy war ship. The whole crew gathered on the deck. Kori said that he could take them, but his father told Kori to take a small life boat and run away. Kori thought that was RIDICULOUS, but his father saw an admiral and knew only death awaited them. He had to force Kori on the boat to run away. Kori paddled away as fast as he could as he turned his back on his father's ships. Kori cried as heard the explosions behind him, and he knew what happened.

  Luckily after a day, Kori made it to a nearby populated island with a large town. He went to inn and fed himself with the money he was given and rented a room to sleep in. That night he couldn't sleep. He cried and screamed, for the only thing on his mind was anger and sadness. His only thought was to kill every last navy soldier and member of the world government. He spent the next year terrorizing the navy and world government. He earned quite the name for himself. He learned how to make bombs, not that he needed bombs, he was very dangerous and powerful with his devil fruit alone. He finally had a great plan he was going to infiltrate Impel Down and steal a weapon of seastone from the navy to kill admirals and other devil fruit users with it. He got himself captured, and he was taken to Impel Down for a life sentence. He was put on Impel Down level two. He started forming his plan and putting into motion. He started a riot in which multiple prisoners were killed. During the riot he managed to sneak behind a jailer, who just so happened to have a knife made of seastone. He killed the jailer and took the knife. Knowing that the knife would suppress his powers, and he needed them to escape with brute force or speed, he disguised himself in the navy uniform and he was able to escape. Once he made it outside, he was relieved. Kori thought something would've gone wrong or he would've died. He hijacked one of the navy ships on the deck and set sail for Sabaody Archipelago with his new found weapon, that he sealed away.

  Kori was chased and fell into conflict many times while on the run, for his bounty was now raised since he escaped to 55,000,000 from the past 30,000,000. He finally arrived to his destination. He went to set up his next plan, and he met the old man who had trained him. The old man told Kori he had heard about all the things he had done and how ashamed he was of him. Kori just lost and yelled and cried about how they killed his parents. The old man just told him that whats past is past, and that he has done enough damage. The old man decided to tell Kori of his great voyages and his past. The old man told Kori that it is not to late and that the pirate's life was for him. Kori looked down and just thought about his old dreams. Kori told the man that he would never forgive what the navy did to his parents, but that he decided it was time to move on. The Old man smiled and said that he should find a crew and a new ship. They said there goodbyes, and Kori asked if he would ever see the old man again. The old man responded only with, "We don't know what will happen, but time will tell itself to us." Our story now takes place the next with Kori looking for a crew.

Kori finds a ship and decides to head to his hometown, Loguetown, to look for a crew. He comes into contact with old friends, and through odd events he finds himself joined by Zoomie Reacher, Roy Zee, and Getto Diffot. They all decide to join him and his new crew. The crew on their way out find themselves ambushed by what seemed the whole Loguetown navy battalion. During the fight, they ally with a man named Arron Breckett. He later joins the crew for he has nowhere else to go. Arron and Kori get into a heated with Navy captain, Alexander Maxus. The fight ends with neither side winning and just causing mutual damage all around. The sad fact was, that if any side lost it was the civilians. Massive amounts of damage and civilain casualties were caused. Arthur quickly leaves after a brutal temporary cease fire with Alex that ends the fight. Kori rejoins his crew at their ship, The Angel. They set sail. The whole adventure helps Kori come to terms with his past.
