Drew Akashi

Drew was born on what was at first a normal island in the south blue, which meant until the age of ten he lived an average life there. He had friends and went to school, and things a normal boy of that time would do. He saw the occasional pirate crew on this island, which only excited him slightly. The thing he enjoyed most was looking at the weapons of the pirates, admiring the craftsmanship and slowly finding out how it worked. Now this island was a bit different from others. It was like most of the islands except for the fact that it had its own government besides the world government. However, this was subject to change. This was because the towns government let refugees and pirates stay there as well as marines and world government officials, which was because they were neutral in the war on piracy. This made the world government angry, so, they did what they did best, tried to control. They sent the islands government a letter which said if they didn't hand their land over to them in two months, they would send troops. However, instead of the town backing down, they called for all boy's 7-29 to learn how to fight from a local swordsman. This included Drew. He began to learn, and to like the trade. He felt natural, swinging the sword around, however he did not get enough training to be a master in two months, but enough so he could do stuff. When the first wave of marines hit, the townspeople overpowered them. This was because they were novice marines and the navy didn't take the island seriously. However, on the next wave the marines went balls out. They sent two vessels with cannons and a rear admiral under their control. When Drew first saw the ships, he got off the island, as he knew he would have been fighting for a lost cause if he stayed with the island. He went to an island that was fairly close to his old one, but not too close.
He got a job working as an assistant blacksmith at a local shop. His boss, named Gin, was a bit strange to Drew, but he still respected him for some reason Drew couldn't understand. Drew soon realized his boss was an ex swordsman revolutionary and then knew why. He was still bitter at the marines for taking his home island, so he had a bit of a connection with the man. He asked him to train him with a sword, and initially refused, but after hearing his case, he agreed to train him. And then on, from eleven to sixteen, Drew trained with him and learned many skills, however his teaching methods were a little unique. For example, for the first month of training, instead of using real swords, they used thick, heavy metal pipes. Drew saw this as pointless, until he felt a sword afterwards and saw how light it was compared to the rod. It made sense now. Many things like this started a bit strange but ended with Drew knowing more about swords than he thought he did. During this time, he was also still an assistant at Gin's shop. One day, a customer came in with a fruit and asked for a diamond sword, armor and shield. When Drew began to explain he did not have the materials for it, and that there was no way in hell that, even if he did, he would accept a fruit as currency, the man stopped him.
"If you eat this fruit" He said "You can make the things I need and still have all the riches you want."
Drew sighed and ate the fruit, because the man was annoying him and he wanted him to leave, but then something strange happened. When Drew began to think about the things the man wanted, they started appearing in his hand. The man then nodded and left. Drew had just eated a devils fruit.
As he continued training, Drew realized that with his fruit he had no need for money, so he quit his job and gave his teacher 3 diamonds a week for teaching him, so he could train full time. During this time, he would train with his fruit whenever his teacher was busy. He became quite good with it and would sometimes use it in his sparring with his master. At sixteen, Drew knew everything the man did, and as a graduation present to himself, he build a sword that he called "Tetsu Ryu". It was an amazing nodachi, and a bit bigger than he was used to, but he adapted. At around the same time, the government was closing in on Gin for his past crimes. They also took interest in Drew after they realized he was part of his hometown's "Revolt". This gave both of them a bounty and they decided to skip town. After a month a the government caught up to them in the form of two navy captains. After a long fight, they managed to kill one, but the other injured Gin. Drew then diverted the remaining captain to him, and was purposely captured. After the captain let his guard down, when he was taking the boy back to HQ, Drew used his powers to imprison the man in diamond and kick him over, then go back to the village they were just at. Seeing that Gin had left the island, Drew decided to become a pirate on his own and began searching for crewmates, this was two years ago.

Naiya Naiya Spikes: Creates one or more spikes which he can shoot out of the ground.
Naiya Naiya Create: Creates any object the user chooses by thinking about it, however thinking about exactly how the object looks takes focus away from any situation the user is in.
Naiya Naiya Gem: Creates mid sized diamond gems that he can either send flying at his enemy, or use as payment for something.
Naiya Naiya Coating: Coats whatever is in the users hand or the user themselves with diamond.
Naiya Naiya Prison: Creates a diamond coating around a certain person, trapping them, unless they have a way to get out. However, this technique only works if the player stays still long enough for the diamond to form (3 rounds).
Naiya Naiya Spring: Shoots the user up or forward and lets them cover ground quickly.'
Naiya Naiya Dome: Creates a dome around anything up to 50 meters away. However, if it is being used as a shield around themselves, the user must stop after 6 rounds due to lack of oxygen.
Naiya Naiya Gem Bomb: Creates a bunch of gems bunched together, and shoots them out to do shrapnel damage on the surrounding area.

Draw Slash: Self Explanatory
Uppercut Slash: A slash that goes upwards, aimed at the jugular.
Hurricane Force: Begins swinging his sword very fast, then aims it at an enemy, making many cuts on them in a short amount of time
The Sweep: Drew ducks fast and swings his sword at the users feet, knocking them off balance.
Diamond Impalement: Makes diamond on his sword and makes it very weak, then hits an enemy with it swiftly, sending diamond shards barreling into his enemy at high speeds.
