| Name: Joyce "Lost" Stapleton Age: 19 Bounty: 30,000,000 Species: Human Occupation: Sniper&Assassin Allegiance: Pirate Home Village/Ocean: West Blue "Red Village" Appearance: Joy has chocolate brown hair that goes down to her mid back, her hair is straight with slight waves in some parts, it also depends on the weather and stuff, sometimes it's really wavy and another times it's really straight. It also changes the color, since sometimes it's red-ish brown and other times it's dark brown. She usually either has her hair up on a ponytail or down, like really, she doesn't like to have it up in two buns or anything too complicated because she's either too lazy or not want to be that girly. She has dark brown eyes, like dark chocolate, and long eyelashes, with thin, nicely shaped eyebrows. She has a small scar above her left eyebrow, but it isn't the noticeable, although she doesn't like it at all, it's around 5 cm long. She also has freckles around her cheeks, a little mole below her mouth. She is 165 tall, weighs around 54 kg, which is really not good since she's really small, so she appears to be chubby. She usually wears really not girly clothes, she'd prefer use jeans or shorts down to her knee than to wear super shorts and skirts, besides she uses t-shirts that are slightly bigger and doesn't use mini tops or anything of the sort. She uses black converse shoes that go up to almost her knee, one or two inches below it, and sometimes uses a black and blue jacket with a hood. When she's in missions, she uses her assassination uniform, which is completely black with a indigo stripe in the side of her sleeves, she also wears black laced-up boots, which have no heel, and a mask that has a tear below her eye and a star in the other side, which is indigo. History: - Childhood & Good Joyce:
Joy was raised by both her parents, but they didn't have a good relationship, her childhood was filled with screams, tears and resentment from both her parents and even herself. Joy found shelter in being by herself, she played games alone, like darts which was her favorite game, unconsciously she trained her aim like this.Joy didn't make any real bonds with anyone, not with her mom, nor her dad, nor anyone who talked with her. She grew up being an introverted child, she created a shell around her and would feel vulnerable and uncomfortable when she had to express herself, even crying while doing so.
When she was nine everything got worse, the relationship between her parents was falling apart, this was way too much for Joy, so her uncle took her in when he saw the gravity of the situation between Joy's parents and how this was affecting her. The two years that Joy spent in her uncle's house were the best memories from her childhood, her uncle's wife was really nice with her, being almost like a mom to her, her uncle as well was like a dad for her and her little cousin, who was two years old when she arrived at the house, was really cute and like a little sister Joy never had.
Her uncle was a former pirate, he taught her about what pirates were, what their role in the world was supposed to be, what devil fruits were and everything he knew, he told her about his awesome and dangerous adventures as a pirate. In all those two years she wanted to become a pirate, to be free to travel around on the sea, with the breeze on her face, 'that was the perfect freedom', her uncle said as to describe being a pirate.
Her uncle had worked in the marines before being a pirate, since he saw all the things that the marines with power did and how they abused it. He knew how to use soru so he taught her soru.
Then when she turned 11, her parents took her in again against her will, her uncle and aunt didn't want this to happen but Joy's parents threatened to sue them for kidnapping Joy, although this wasn't true. Even if Joy missed her uncle and aunt, she believed that everything between her parents had fixed, but then two months later, the fights started, worse than ever.
Joy couldn't stand it for too long and one night, while her parents were fighting in the kitchen, she took her dad's gun, wallet and keys and sneaked out of the house. Joy wanted to go visit her uncle and aunt but she was afraid that her parents would find out, sue them and things like that. So she went to the deck and stole a small ship that her dad owned, and run away from Red Village. Joy traveled around with her dad's money for some time until the money was spent all. She was obliged to steal money and things, this was easy task due to her ability with the guns and her soru.
She trained and trained, she stole at first, to be able to have money but then she stayed in towns for 1 or 2 months and worked there as a waitress and basic jobs like that. She worked hard and improved her aim, fighting and defense. When she turned 14 Joy made up her mind and decided she wanted to become a pirate and join a crew or join a traveling group along pirates, so she traveled around west blue.
She looked for a crew to join, but no one would let someone like her, so young, to join, since she wasn't really that good anyway. But she trained hard and met some pirates that were nice, Jerome, was the captain's name, who seemed to be interested in Joyce, although she had to leave, not really being interested in them, due to various matters. In the end Joyce had some rough time deciding what she would do, she decided in the end that she would train harder, as in even if she wasn't part of a crew, and she had no current friends, she still thought that it was fine that way, and that eventually everything would change. And indeed it did.
- Meet bad Joy:
Joy knew that she couldn't do "nothing" always, she had to do something and become a respectable pirate, because right now no one wanted her in her crew, and it was frustrating for her, she felt like if she wasn't worth anything, like she should just go ahead and die, no one would care anyway. But in the end, while she tried committing suicide, because of stupid reasons that she thought about later, she was stopped by a girl, a girl that meeting her changed Joy's life forever, or at least that was what Joy thought anyway, the girl's name was Saki Star, a name that Joy would never forget, and the captain of a pirate crew nonetheless.
She met Saki while being in an island, training and everything, Joy was really sad and was walking around with her head down, then she was in front of a church, even if she was atheist, and whispered some words, no one, not even Joy, knows what she said, and then brought her gun, the one with the corrosive bullets, up and pointed to her head, she was about to press the trigger when Saki stopped her.
"STOP IT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!" a blonde girl said looking at Joy, who didn't know what the hell was going on, she did know that she was about to commit suicide, but she didn't know why someone random, a stranger that clearly didn't know her, no one knew her anymore, she was different, not even her parents would be able to recognize her anymore.
Joy thought for some seconds what to say to the stranger, she didn't know why someone would care if she died, not even a stranger, it was really crazy and weird, and she didn't know this girl, she was blonde and had emerald green eyes, which Joy had to admit were possibly the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen, and was rather tall and looked like she was powerful. Her eyes teared up and she sniffed slightly.
"Why? Who are you?" she asked in a voice that made it obvious that she was in pain, the girl smiled slightly and hugged Joy. God she did need a hug so badly. How did the girl know that I wanted a hug.. that I needed a hug? Joy thought to herself as she cried in the stranger's shoulder, getting her t-shirt wet.
"I'm a friend, don't worry I won't hurt you. I'm Saki Star, nice to meet you, little friend, who are you?" she said in a friendly voice as she patted Joy's back in a reassuring and comforting way, Joy swore that she had never felt this well before, she really felt good again, as if everything disappeared and she was able to start all over again, her past, everything, her rejection, everything, everything had disappeared.
She looked over to who she now knew was called Saki. "I'm Joyce.. Joyce Stapleton.. but you can call me Joy if you want..." she said pulling away from the hug, with a bright smile.
Saki was glad that the girl was better and was now smiling at her so she returned the smile with a brighter one, the most beautiful smile Joy had ever seen as well, and nodded. "That's a really cute name, Joy, I love it" she said and motioned Joy to sit on the bench besides the church.
"Saki..." she said, Saki responded with a 'hmm?' and Joy continued, looking close to tears again. "Thank you, thank you so much. really." she said and smiled brightly, now it was way brighter than before, it was a truly honest smile, one that would've melted any heart, even the ice prince's heart.
And that way Joy started being friends with Saki Star, the captain of the Milky Way Pirates. Saki told her that she had been there for training and everything, so she also couldn't spend all time with Joy, needing to practice. But when Joyce told her that she was also a pirate, Saki helped her with some things like practicing fighting without arms, considering that Joyce only knew how to fight with her guns, which were really necessary for her, or used to be at least. Fighting meaning things like boxing and a little of muay thai, which is basically boxing but also with kicks. Joy in exchange taught Saki how to use Soru, which is a technique that allows you to go at high speeds, something that Saki really appreciated. They were really close and Saki even asked Joy to join her crew, but she shook her head and said that she didn't want to join a crew at the moment, because she knew that she needed to be stronger to survive the dangers of the sea.
Personality:She is funny talkative when she is with people she likes, she likes to read a lot and write things as well. Joy loves pancakes and would change her mood completely if pancakes would be either near or she was being offered pancakes. She is really clumsy, tripping over her own feet most of the time, bumping against a wall accidentally without even being that near from it. She's also really perverted, she would think the wrong way about almost anything although she does keep it to herself most of the time. Joy is really smart although most of the time plays dumb just for the heck of seeing people struggle and try to make her understand, because she finds that interesting. She isn't used to talk in public or talk with strangers, when doing so she either mumbles, turns bright red or stutters, or maybe the three at the same time. Her personality changes completely when people insult or mistreat her friends, she becomes mean, cold and sometimes, bloodthirsty and sadistic. Joy likes doing things to help people though but doesn't really like to be acknowledged by it and it kind of makes her uncomfortable about the whole situation. Joy would friend people that are nice to her and also show that they're worth her friendship. Special Abilities: Soru Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
- Rouge Wrath: Joy takes out her guns and uses soru to move really fast towards her enemy, stops inches apart from him/her with her guns pointing the heart and the throat, then fires, being bathed in blood from her victims. (This is only used when her friends are threatened, in or something like that).
- Double Shot 360: Joy uses soru to reach the top of a building and then shoots while spinning 360°, shooting at all the enemies that surround her. She then flips and lands perfectly unless being under the effect of alcohol, poison or drugs.
- K.O. gun shot: Joy uses sory to appear behind her enemy and shoot him/her on the head.
- Bullets Starfall: Joy uses bullets that multiply and end up being more bullet. She uses this attack when being against a large crowd of enemies.
- Thor's bullets: Joy uses her sniper rifle and fires this special bullets that electrocute the one who's hit with them.
- Escape Veloz: Joy uses soru to escape quickly.
- Frio: Joy uses the blizzerd bullets so that they freeze the target in a 7 cm radius from where the bullet hits.
- Tempesta de humo:[/u] Joy fires some smoke bullets to be able to escape. (Can work for letting other people escape with her as well).
- Corrosive head shot: Joy uses soru to move to stand inches apart from her target and puts her gun, the black with sky blue one, in her target's head and fires the corrosive bullets that cause the target a lot of pain and kills him/her.
Weapons/Items:Goals: she wants to become free and never return to her parents.
