Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Empty
PostSubject: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeFri Aug 05, 2011 5:07 pm

Thor awoke in his bed in the captains quarters of his ship; The Sorrowbringer on a quite sunny morning. The sun glistened down on the ocean water as the ship went, and there weren't many clouds in the sky. Thor saw all this looking out the window that was placed next to his bed in the small cabin. Thor yawned, hauling his ass off of his bed as slow as possible, rubbing sleep from his eyes. He stood up looking around his small but extremely tiny cabin. The cabin had come with a bed, dresser, desk, and a room for facilities in the back. Thor had taken his old masters things (And mattress, god only knows what that creep did in that bed) and replaced it with new things. He had placed all his clothing in the dresser, removing the old ones and tossing them to the water, doing the rest with the other old crews things. Thor thought of this as he grabbed clothes from his dresser, sniggering to himself about how good he felt dumping those assholes' things into the deep blue south sea.

He then sighed, walking to the bathroom as he threw his clothing choice for the day; A white tee shirt, jeans and his converse type shoes, onto the ground next to the bathroom and began showering, which Thor found refreshing, but really, who doesn't? After Thor finished he finally had all of the sleep rubbed out of his eyes and toweled himself off, then getting dressed, hoping they'd get off this damn ship soon. For the past two weeks it had been the same thing; get up, take a shower, maybe navigate through a storm but that was it. Although a good aspect of this was Thor had been able to train and learned a new technique, which he called the 'Konki Konki No Beam' which was basically an energy beam. Thor then sighed, walking out of his quarters. He immediately found the weather deceiving and that it was actually very cold. Stumbling back to his room he lazily threw on a coat and went back out onto the deck.

The deck was not very large, but it could fit the for of them comfortably enough. The deck itself was quite bland, just wooden with a guard railing at the edges. The center of the ship was elevated a bit, this is where the helmsman sat. Above the center was the crows nest; Thor's favorite spot. Shivering a bit, Thor walked to another door that was next to the one leading to his quarters. The door led to some stair, which led to where the rest of the crew slept. Tiptoeing down so he wouldn't wake anyone, Thor was then faced with the room. It was large, as large as the deck with the first part made of 4 cots (one wasn't occupied) and a table. Thor then walked to the back of the room if you could call it that and was faced with two doors and the single cannon that laid in a corner, which still annoyed Thor profusely. He then walked into one of the doors which led to the kitchen and fixed himself a cold sandwich that didn't need any skill to make. Walking back on the deck and climbing up the crows nest, Thor saw a site in the distance...could it be? Was it the island?! Thor took a telescope that was kept there and saw that it was!

"LAND HO BOYS!!" Thor shouted happily

Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Empty
PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeFri Aug 05, 2011 6:09 pm

Emillio was slumped on his bunk in the same position he threw himself on it last night, the thin blanket lying on his stomach sideways and half of his limbs flailing over the mattress. To a bystander, it would seem that someone choked the foreigner to death and dumped the body, but in the two weeks Emillio spent with his three new friends, they should have learned to deal with it. His respective collection of belts, bullets and cherry bombs was resting under his mattress, waiting to be picked up as soon as he would wake up. Three of Emillio's guns were also dumped under there, with the last one resting under his pillow, just in case.

After two weeks of living in this confined room, the entire atmosphere was filled with the gentle smell of gunpowder and Tabasco that Emillio carried with him. To get some rest from the unpleasant smell his friends had to either go upstairs or force him into a shower. The reason why the room was filled with Emillio's aroma was the fact that he spent almost the entire two weeks in cleaning up the filthy and rusty cannon The Sorrowbringer sported. When he first got aboard the cannon was a disaster, but now it was cleaning up nicely, and was able to fire some accurate shots.

As the shout for land came from the deck Emillio lost his gentle balance and fell down from the bed as he was blasted off of his sleep. He thought of grabbing the gun he stashed under his pillow and shoot whoever disturbed him but he then recognized the voice of his new captain and a smile arrived to his face. He got up with excitement, still dressed in his underwear and sprinted up the stairs. "Tierra?! I mean land?!" He shouted as he rushed to the railing to witness the land. "Hermosa tierra! Beautiful land!" He shouted with excitement. He was practically freezing since he was too hasty to remember his cloths but the sight of land was worth it.

PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeFri Aug 05, 2011 6:49 pm

Iken watched the sun rise as he sat on the main deck, his back was up against the main mast in the middle of the ship. Seeing no one else he figured he was the first one up and there for just watched the sun rise. After a few more hours pasted Iken heard the door to the captains cabin slam open. Thor walked out of the cabin and into the crews quarters. Iken figured he was just going to the kitchen. That and he must have not noticed Iken sitting on the deck for he didn't say anything. This was fine by Iken, he didn't really feel like being social at that point.

The night was chilly and the morning didn't seem to change all the much. Iken kept his jacket over himself trying to stay as warm as he could. Iken wasn't a trusting man, especially on a pirate ship. He needed to stay on his toes, he needed to wake up before and go to sleep after everyone else. Every time Iken awoke he put pillow in the bed so it looked like he was still sleeping. That way if anyone tired to kill him he would know who to take out first. Deep in thought Iken jumped when the captain slammed the door coming back out. Clutching his chest Iken watched as the captain walked over to the front of the deck.

Hearing his captains words Iken looked up and he seen land. Finally after weeks of sailing on the blue doing the same thing day after day they seen land. Iken leaped up from his sitting position and run up to the captain of the ship. A big smile spread across Iken's face as the land became closer and closer with every passing moment. Finally Iken would get a chance to show of his new move he obtained his weeks of training.

"Finally I can get off of this ship." Iken said with relief.

"..ZZzzzz" Cat has been sleeping most of the time they were at the ship, within those 2 weeks of course he had mostly been enjoying his Happy to do nothing Weeks, Being the lazy man he was it was obvious that he would enjoy the 2 weeks of absolute tranquility, Cat had nothing he had to do and nothing he would do, the only exception rather then sleeping and relaxing under the stars he had was the few hours of training he put on daily. They were a pain but the results were worth it.

Cat was resting and was overall tired, it would take them weeks to get to the area they were supposed to meet, the sword was within reach and in his grasp. He was now going to be in the island he needed to be in. Hopefully this island wont cause them took much trouble.

He woke up when he heard his captains words now echoing throughout the ship, there was land up ahead. It woke up Emilio as well, cat had noticed they were running low on supplies. During these past few weeks all he had been eating was the things that were already made, cheese, crackers, Sandwhiches conveniently placed on counters un-guarded, extc. anything good that was already made, since Cat himself never learned even the most basic of cooking. After hearing the word 'Land' Cat ran out to the front of the ship, beside Iken.

Iken heard someone running up behind him and grabbed the hilt of his sword almost instantly. However Iken soon noticed that it was Cat and he was running up too see the island. Seeing it was Cat Iken released his grip on his sword somewhat letting his guard down. Iken for some reason, trusted the man enough to let down his guard even a little bit. Looking towards Cat, Iken smiled a bit.

"What do you plan to do when you get this sword?" Iken asked.

PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeFri Aug 05, 2011 8:59 pm

Cat was surprised at the land being far away, yet within his grasp. Iken had asked him his intentions with the sword, Cat thought of him as a nakama at this point, having spent time with everyone at sea for 2 weeks would do that to people. Iken had asked Cat the question of his intentions with the sword. At first the question caught him by surprise, iken himself rarely talked to the people on the ship but still Cat answered his question, he was a Nakama after all.

"I plan on making my dream a reality with that sword, I will become a Legend." Cat had just told the first person on the ship about his dream. He did not care how he became a legend, as long as it were for nice reasons. once an Oppurtunity showed itself, he would Take it.

Iken seemed to be one of the more mature people on the ship, having slept after everyone and always seemed to be awake before Cat, on top of most of those things the sword he saw him practicing with had an unknown appearence to it, as if it were powerful and unknown to most. This crew also had a gunner who's accent was as deadly as his skill with a gun, it seemed only natural that he'd be included as a very strong person in the ship. Their captain.. he had a Df ability that made him use a Blue aura, what it had he did not know but it killed 3 men back in the bar. The captain was by far a vary dangerous man, Cat felt safe in a ship with 3 strong men. Looking around he noticed Just how lucky he was to bring these people on a fight/retrieve mission to get his soon to be sea stone sword.

"I cant thank you enough Iken.. for helping me retrieve this sword, I really will need it for what i am planning to do."

PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeFri Aug 05, 2011 10:05 pm

Iken listened to Cat talk and it seemed Cat had no short time goals other than getting the sword. It seemed none of them knew what they were doing and just wanted to get through the day alive. That said something, what Iken wasn't exactly sure. Was it about the times, or was it the occupation they had all taken up? Whatever it was, no one seemed all that safe in this wide blue world not even the top government officials. This made Iken all the more ready to train and become stronger.

With that thought running through his head, Iken wondered what he could do to get stronger. There was always training however nothing beat out real battle experiences in making one stronger. Looking around the ship Iken found what he needed. He found someone else that was of his discipline, it was Cat. Cat would make an excellent sparring partner for Iken to use to get stronger. Putting his hand on the hilt of his saber Iken looked at Cat.

"Cat, you're a swordsman and so am I, lets see who the strongest really is. I challenge you to a duel!" Iken said with a bit of excitement.

PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeFri Aug 05, 2011 11:27 pm

Cat had considered his silence as him thinking about what he said, after a few minutes had gone by Cat heard Iken challenge Cat to a duel, a fight to see who was stronger. Cat was not in the mood for a battle, but Iken was. Iken had grabbed the hilt of his sword, it seemed as though he had made up his mind over battle. The last time they fought Iken was drunk, so it never really counted as anything. He was indeed stronger and more concentrated then he is in the corruption of liquor. Cat had witnessed him training but for what he never found out. This made Cat very nervous and thrilled at the same time, although Cat was not the type to fight just for Duels, it seemed that by sparring he might get warmed up enough to be ready for the island now only hours ahead.

Cat grabbed the hilt of his sword and Nodded at Iken. "As long as it isnt to the death, i accept Iken". Cat stepped backwards at least 15 feet from Iken and grabbed his swords Hilt in a weird position, making his left hand hold on to the sheith and his right hand on the hilt, his knees were bent. Although you wouldn't notice with the Black modern day army looking pants, without the camouflage, he had black army boots on and a white Sleeveless shirt that was surprisingly too big for him, even if he was an averagely tall young man. His knees were bent and his fighting stance was ready for a fight.

"Iken its your move."

Iken was worried that Cat wouldn't accept the battle as seeing how long he was taking to decide. However Iken waited for the man to reply to his challenge. For a moment it seemed like a tense stare down between two fierce rivals. When Cat answered his question, Iken couldn't have been happier at that moment. He was finally going to get his chance to test out his skills and new technique. This was it, a true battle without Iken hindered by the alcohol.

"Fine I'll go first." Iken said with a smile.

With speed beyond even that of an Olympic runner, Iken charged at Cat. Despite every inch and foot of distance that was eliminated by Iken as he ran became fewer and fewer, Iken didn't draw his sword. Now with in striking distance Iken pulled out his sword in a slashing movement. In the blink of an eye a black after image followed the train of his sword at he slashed it use his basic technique.

"Black Slash"

Cat had watched his movements as he gradually ran closer and closer, although he had not unshiethed his sword Cat could not let down his guard. Iken got close enough to Cats distance to swing his sword with ease, but by this time Cat had already attempted to move his body downward. He moved the same speed Iken did trying to strike him, they were equals in that part, But Cat also has another thing that makes him a very strong individual, his agility.

Using his reflexes Cat attempted to kneel down quickly, which he could achieve with his speed as well, having Iken Miss the slice that was Horizontal gave Cat the chance to attack the split second he ducked, His hand was already on the hilt giving him the advantage of being ready to strike, he didnt miss a second as his hand unsheithed the sword and swung at his opponent 20 MPH, Iken was within striking distance of this.

"Elegant Slash", the attack was aimed at Ikens Torso but was not made to kill him, since Cats sword is normal and it was obvious Iken was not like a man of normal strength Cat new he would not die from this.

Thor sighed looking down at his crew, who he had woken up with his call, except for Iken who seemed like a real soldier and was already up. He sat down and watched them converse, and became drowsy. He was tired from the last 3 weeks, lack of food, water and other things and sleep, as he had stayed up for days on end with no rest many times in the last few weeks. He thought all of this as his eyes became drowsy and drooped, I mean, whats the worst that could happen if he closed his eyes for one split....The clang of metal made Thor's eyes shoot open in an instant. Cat and Iken were going at it. Go figure, they were the two swordsmen on the ship, there had to be some rivalry. Thor got up slowly and looked at them a bit irritated but calm none the less, trying not to yell at his new crew.

"Jeez, I close my eyes for a second and people start fighting, could you stop before I lose a crew member?" he said, looking at Iken and Cat

PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeSat Aug 06, 2011 1:48 am

With his attack missing it's target, Iken seemed to be wide open to his opponents counter attack. However Iken was ready, he expected as much from Cat. With a quick movement of his wrist Iken turned his sword's blade downward effectively blocking the agile man's quick counter. Thanks to the heaviness of the blade Iken took little in terms of recoil from blocking the attack. Grabbing the hilt of his sword with his second hand Iken used his great strength to attempt to push Cat's blade upwards.

"Black Treasure"

In a blink of an eye Iken had slashed at Cat twice making an X of black glimmering after image, mimicking the movement his sword had taken in the split second attack. Iken knew Cat was as fast as him however he wasn't sure if he would be able to keep up with his technique. Another factor was the density of his sword, it would surely take a toll on the man's blade and the recoil from blocking such a blade would be bone shattering to a normal person. Hearing the captain yell at them Iken took a quick glance before speaking.

"Don't worry I wont kill him." Iken stated.

Thor watched Iken continue to fight Cat very well, swinging his sword in fancy and deadly ways, then heard Iken's comment. Thor mentally laughed at how confident Iken was, but kept a straight face on the outside. He had enough self confidence to lead them, but not THAT much. If it were Thor he would always assume he would lose, preparing himself for defeat, and having a pleasant surprise if he came out victorious. From what he had seen previously, Iken and Cat were very accomplished swordsmen and he couldn't predict a winner from only what he had seen so far. Thor smiled at Iken, thinking how much of a good leader he would be, if he ever had a crew with enough members for divisions, Iken would lead one for sure.

"Ok then" he said to Iken, walking to Emilio and beaming "That cannon is looking nice, Emilio" he said to him.

Cat Did not see Ikens Blocking ability as being this strong, but the swords weight was aparent as the attack was stopped. After the successful blocking Iken tried to use the same blade to slash 2 times, Cat would've been done for if it were not for his new Blocking technique, Having his hand still on his shieth Cat took it out before Iken managed to swing downwards. "Shieth defense", The shieth Successfully cushioned the attack, although Iken was indeed strong the Swords weight seemed to have made his attacks Slower then if he had an average sword. Having the second slash of Ikens attack break the shieth Cat was left without a blocking technique for quite some time, although the shieth was able to do its job, stop a potentially strong attack. Having his right hand with the sword still near Iken during the attack Cat made a simultaneous swing of his sword while Iken made the second slash of his sword.

"Quick slash", the sword was slashed Horizontally being at point blank range the sword itself was being swung while the attack was being made, having Ikens attention diverted by attacking Cat this attack was both an Offense and a defense technique both done in a grave order . Cat's Body was made to take punishment, the attack didnt break his bones like they would a normal man, but he could tell his arm was going to be numb after this battle.

Knowing full well he wouldn't be able to block the on coming quick slash little lone dodge it, Iken had to improvise. Iken had read books of battles were warriors used quick thinking and their environment to win their battles. Iken could have cut some random rope and sky rocked up and out of the way of the attack or he could have even cut a rope causing something heavy to drop on the foe. However Iken wasn't able to think at that level, however he was able to improvise, even if it was only a bit.

Seeing a loose floor board Iken slammed his foot down onto it. This caused the board to rise upward in front of Iken and Cat. Luckily for Iken the board to the slash from Cat's sword before it could hit. With his cheep sword Cut would likely cut a way into it, but no where near all the way through it. With Cat's blade in the plank of wood he wouldn't be likely to defend himself properly.

"Dark Stab"

Lunging forward, Iken cleared what little distance was between the two men in an instant. Throwing the arm that held his blade forward Iken attempted to stab Cat. His aim was at the targets neck a potentially deadly blow if it were to hit. At the last moment Iken changed the direction of his blades aim to a few inches away from his neck. With would cause no damage and only prove that Iken had a chance at killing him.

(I hate my time zone you dirty boosters! Razz)

As Emillio was busy freezing his ass off, the two swordsmen of the crew were having a duel. In his current state, Emillio couldn't help but being jealous of the two. "They must be worm enough..." He mumbled as his chin shook.
He decided to get down and put on his cloths, so he could enjoy the sight of land some more without risking hypothermia, when his captain complimented him.

"Thanks sir" Emillio said while rubbing the back of his freezing neck. "I believe it is ready for action, I can't wait to test it!" He said and then a thought popped into his head. He ran to the crew cabin and put on his cloths, task that took a while since most of his clothing was belt and ammo, and then reached for the cannon. The cannon was old and small and as a result was light. Emillio placed his hands on the metal cannon and started to push.

Above deck, the sounds of metal clanking against metal was disturbed by the sound of heavy machinery rolling through the door. "TADA!" Emillio announced as he arrived to the deck with the cannon. He figured that a cannon that is already working should have a proper placement.

Cat stepped on the plank that was lunged upwards sending Cat into the air, Cat could've slashed his sword at this point and attempted to slash iken since he was literately on top of the only thing that was suppossed to defend Iken from his attack, but he didnt , Ikens strength seemed to be even more then Cat expected it to be. He watched as Iken attempted to stab him in the neck if he were still in the area, but in fact Cat was on top of him. This couldve ended badly for Cat. After being sent into the air (about 5 feet from the planks height)Cat used the oppurtunity to attack Iken, But instead landed safely a foot from Iken, he landed behind him while Iken himself was occupied lunging forward. Cats blade was put back into his shieth, signifying he had given up the chance to attack him from behind, In total he had 2 chances to attack Iken, one when he was sent flying, and another when he landed behind him, Either way he was finished with the battle weather Iken wanted to keep fighting or not. "Good spar, next time try not to break the ship hehe." Cat didnt want to say it, but his left arm was numb from the battle, Ikens strength combined with the heavy sword proved to have done its damage.

Cat noticed the new machinery Emilio had put in, barely noticing it was a cannon. Cat noticed it was being Pointed at him, even if it were by accident he was still afraid of getting blown up. He inched himself towards the side, standing beside Emilio. "This new looking thing was our old cannon? heh i could never actually dedicate myself to cleaning something like that." This was true in fact, since Cat himself was the laziest person he new. He could never dedicate to something that wasnt needed. The work that was done on teh cannon was outstanding, you couldnt figure out it was an Old peace of trash just a few weeks ago.

"You um... sure that you didnt steal another Ships cannon in the dead of night.." Cat was indeed thinking this, as he wasnt exactly the smartest person on the ship.. actually his knowledge was even less then Emilios, he just didnt like to show it or talk about it, but Cat Barely attended school in his island, he didnt even graduate from Elementary school. He learned most of his things from the streets or asking, other then that his parents answered everything for him.

"Pretty sure pal" Emillio answered to Cat. "Spent my entire two weeks on this thing". The job would have taken much less time for a professional shipwright, or even any house cleaner with the right equipment, but Emillio's outstanding knowledge of firearms and cannons and his passion to the likes of which allowed him to pull the job anyway.

It was too bad that the ship barely had cannonballs, having only one who was in a descent shape while the other 5 were so old it was too risky to even place them near gunpowder for they could explode in your face with the slightest spark. This fact was one of the main reasons Emillio wanted to get to the island, he needed ammo.

"We should really buy some supplies before we go look for that sword" Emillio said to his crew. He heard about the sword that Cat was looking for in these two weeks more than once and it sounded like the only thing that the lazy swordsman would get out of bed for. That was, of course, before Emillio got a look on his and Iken's swordplaying skills which were pretty amazing. The two seemed like they could handle anything Emillio saw until this day, and he couldn't help but wonder if he would have became as strong as them if he spent these weeks training instead of fixing a next to useless cannon.

Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Empty
PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeSat Aug 06, 2011 9:01 am

Cat seemed to be staring at the newly designed Cannon, its exterior was perfectly clean, he was truely amazed at his work. Two weeks would be one week 6 days and 23 hours more then Cat would've given to the cannon. He seemed utterly useless when it came to hard work or labor of any sort unless it was completely necessary, Cat was Lazy to that extent.

One thing had crossed his mind though, something that was bothering Cat. "Emilio, what is your dream? what do you hope to accomplish by joining This crew?" Cat laid down on the ground after asking the question, a man with normal perception wouldve thunk that he was uninterested, but Emilios would see that behind the lazy exterior he really did want to know the answer to this.

"I want to be the best gunner in the world" He said with innocence. This goal seemed impossible to obtain but that's what the gunner wanted. He also wanted to find himself a wife but that will come later and the crew won't help him with that.

But Emillio, with of his stupidity and innocence knew that he will probably won't become the best gunner in the world, but he had a secondary goal to achieve, which he considered sharing for a while before he answered. "And I want to avenge the marines for the death of my mentor" He said, this time with a serious tone, this was his main goal. Every time he thought about the death of Jumbi, his teacher and savior, he felt like crying, but he never did. "He saved me from the streets and the marines killed him" He said, briefly explaining the story of Jumbi Greenwood. "He was the one to teach me how to hold a gun".

Cat was still laying down as he told him the overall goals he had in mind, his masters death was almost like one of a father, it must've hurt. Cat was now amused by this man, he had a conquest for revenge which they were sure to go into one day. Getting dragged into a battle for revenge was not Cats style but for a fellow nakama he would try what he could to help.

Standing up he looked over the horizon, after all this the island is much closer then it was before, Cat stood on both his legs and walked towards the crows nest, "Emilio i will help you any way i can on that matter, As for the worlds best gunner, you should give it a shot.." Cat walked under the Crows nest and laid down, waiting for word that the Pirate ship was close to land, he closed his eyes. Attempting to at least hear the conversations around him while he was resting his eyes, if any word of land were to pop up Cat would leave the ship immediately.

As Cat shot into the air unexpectedly Iken collapsed on to the floor. He had completely been thrown off balance by his own simple plan. Iken's face slammed into the hard wood deck of the ship causing his nose to bleed a bit. Rolling over expecting a counter attack Iken pulled his sword up in an attempt to block however it wasn't needed. Sure Iken could have skewered Cat as he came down, however Iken didn't see a point in using such a low move little lone on a nakama. Sure Cat could have hit Iken twice causing a few gashes at that point, but Iken could have killed him in one of the most painful ways possible.

As Iken lay there Cat ended the duel, it was a good duel something that taught Iken what he needed to work on later. Wiping he blood from his face Iken looked to the crew chambers as he heard Emillio coming up. Iken's jaw almost dropped as the man brought up the once destroyed cannon into a master piece. Getting up from the floor Iken moved out of the firing line of the cannon just in case the old piece suddenly fired.

Now out of the firing line Iken could truly admire the cannon, it looked like it was brand new. However shiny the cannon was Iken wasn't one to compliment anyone. He did admire the man's hard work, but didn't feel comfortable enough to put himself out like that. Instead Iken switched his attention to the approaching island. Iken was shocked how close the island was, he must have lost track of time during the spar. Looking at Emillio Iken smiled before speaking to him quickly.

"Let's hope we don't need it, but I'm sure if we do that cannon will come in handy." Iken said trying to compliment in his own way.

Thor smiled as he watched Emilio walk away, and wondered what he was doing. Maybe he was bringing out the cannon, but as he had been traveling with his crew, he had found that Emilio wasn't really the brightest in the world, so he could be doing something completely unrelated to the subject. Thor began to imagine all the random things Emilio could come out with, maybe a random fish, a sandwich, maybe? Thor sighed in a comical anime like way when he heard the clanking of metal, and was relieved; so he did get the cannon. Thor was then astonished when he brought the cannon out, he knew it was redone, but not that well. Thor then began clapping and beamed at Emilio, totally ignoring the fight going on behind him, as he didn't want to egg them on.

"Great work Emilio!" said Thor, awing over beautiful cannon, which had made his two crewmates stop fighting briefly to look at it.

Thor then sighed, as he didn't want to get involved, he began climbing up to the crows nest again, hearing fighting under him. When he got to the top, he looked at his old hideout. He had been staying there ever since he was recruited into the owner of the ships, this is where he slept as he wasn't really considered a member of the crew back in the day.
Flashback
"Drink up boys!!" a drunk, gruff voice called from below, as a 13 year old boy huddled in a corner, drinking a bottle of rum he had stolen from the crew cellar. He looked around the crows-nest half halfheartedly, which consisted of an old blanket and his jutte laid out in the corner. Suddenly a voice called Thor. "Hey half ass, someone broke a bottle, go clean it bitch!" he yelled up to the crows nest. Thor groaned as a tear went to his eye, couldn't he just go to bed? Swigging down some rum he climbed down the ladder and walked down the stairs to the crews quarters. There was one man down there, fast asleep with a women next to him, Thor's guess was that she didn't want to be there. Walking over to the broken bottle, he happened to look up at the cannon, which was so nice, but was ruined from lack of use. Thor hoped someone would clean it as he began cleaning
Flashback end

Thor sighed remembering those days, and was happy someone had finally cleaned that cannon, then looked up at land, that was rapidly approaching.

"Get ready to go guys, were almost at land!" He yelled down

Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Empty
PostSubject: Re: Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword   Destroyers at Sea Chapter One: The Conquest for a Sword Icon_minitimeSat Aug 06, 2011 8:20 pm

As land came close and closer to them everyone seemed exceedingly confident they would make it on to that vary shore. However to the horror of everyone on the boat, a large shark leaped from the water. It was a 10 ft Jumping Shark, a shark that got it's name for obvious reasons. It's main hunting method was leaping on to ships and nabbing a sailor or two before plunging back into the water with it's prey. Another well known fact about Jumping Sharks was they tended to go for the tallest member of the crew.

Normally this would have meant Iken, whit him being at least four inches taller than anyone else. However this was a special case, the captain was in the crows nest, making him the highest target. Leaping high above the deck the shark sped towards the captain of the ship mid air. The water from the shark splashed down onto the deck and onto the people on the deck. It was like a scene from some horror movie, except this horror movie was real and it was happening right then and there.

Iken's eyes were wide with horror as he seen the shark leap from the water. Naturally he expected it to come for him, being the tallest certainly had it's disadvantages in times like this one. However a feeling of relief then another one of horror went over Iken as the shark did the same. It wasn't after Iken, it was after the captain of the ship that was in the crows nest . Without anyway of stopping it or saving Thor, Iken just watched helpless.

"Watch out! It's a Jumping Shark!" Iken yelled to everyone.

"What the fuck is a jumpi-oooooh shit" Said Thor, stopping to marvel at the giant blue shark speeding at him, now sure how the shark got its name. Thor looked at his jutte, which was below the crows nest and sighed, he couldn't kill it that way....then an idea popped into Thor's head; he would use his new move. Taking the part of his hands where the vain showed, which was at the end of his arm, Thor put them into a palm thrusting position and made them touch where he had specified. Taking his hands back and now charging them with energy, the energy slowly then began to form into a sphere shape that made up the two palms that were touching at opposite direction's area and stayed charging until the shark was seconds away, then thrust his palm forward, causing a cylinder shape beam to shoot at the shark. If it hit, the shark would be shot through like a hot knife through butter.

"Konki Konki No BEAM!!" he yelled as he did so
