Leveling up
 
After a set number of threads your character levels up, they gain access to a number of new techniques and gain three options for how to use the experience
 
The user can chose to gain 10% more for their total stats
The user can chose to gain 2 ability points for their character
The user can chose to gain nothing and gain 20% stat bonus and 1 ability point next time they level up.
 
A post only counts toward experience if it's two full paragraphs (that's 5 lines worth of writing per paragraph, or 9 lines total.)
 
The character levels up as follows
 
The character’s requirement to level up is always fifteen posts no matter the level. The reason for this is because the user is confined to roleplay posts on a single character for the experience. The leveling up system is designed to promote character development and a commitment to the roleplay, not to place a value on post count.

Tough times often call for drastic measures and the time we're going through is no exception.  In an effort to allow crews to be formed with the limited amount of members we have, we will now be offering level boosters.  Level boosters allow under leveled members of a crew to increase in level up to the level of the captain of the crew.  A level up booster that increases a character by one level can be obtained from the AP store for 150 million beli or a level five booster can be obtained for 500 million beli that obviously increases the characters level by five.  The level up booster can be bought by the user or the crew fund or by the current captain of the crew.  Marines can buy level up boosters for subordinates up to three ranks below them; however they may not buy level up boosters for another character unless they are Captain Rank or above.  Marine captains may buy level up boosters for fellow marines directly under them regardless of rank level. Seeing as how this isn't something that should be obtained easily or taken lightly the boosters will also cost 10 ap per activation. With that in mind it would make more sense to buy a level five booster; however if the character is within five levels of the captain it would waste the extra levels. For example if the captain is level 15 and the crew mate is leve 12, the crew mate would be increased in level to 15 with a level five booster. The two levels past the three already used would be wasted.
