Elaborating on the War or "Wtf is going on in there?"

I suspect that the war by Nikz has been found by many to be quite confusing and looking through the thread just doesn't seem to give a clear answer to the question "Wtf is going on in there?".
So if anyone knows a good answer to the objectives and sides of the war, then please answer. I bet it would aid a lot of people.

But only if Payne decides to show up soon. Plus... wait, I already fought you. I wouldn't be against a round two, but I don't want to lose again. So it'd have to be a draw or one of them running away. Hey, I think Ajax'll run anyway.
