Victor and Molly Cross Empty
PostSubject: Victor and Molly Cross   Victor and Molly Cross Icon_minitimeSat Oct 15, 2011 2:54 pm

Name: Victor Cross

Age: 21

Bounty: 0

Species: Human

Occupation: Inventor

Allegiance: N/A

Home Village/Ocean: Water 7/Grand Line

Appearance: Victor is a white male who stands at six feet in height. When I say he is white, I mean really white. Victor is an albino. His skin has very little melanin in it. Only his hair has color to it and it is, ironically enough, almost jet black. Because of this deficiency in melanin, Victor has to be careful about covering himself up when he goes out into the sunlight, which is rare for him to do. He especially makes sure to always wear sunglasses since his eyes are so vulnerable. Moving on from his albinism, Victor is a very slim person, almost unhealthily so. He does not look very muscular, both because he is so slim and because he wears so much clothing, but this is deceptive. He is actually decently muscled, having spent a lot of time training during the night when the sun can't burn him.

As previously mentioned, under normal circumstances Victor keeps himself almost entirely covered up when he outside. He often times wears a hoodie or some kind of large coat over top of a short sleeve shirt and alongside a pair of jeans and running shoes. He does not wear gloves to protect his hands, but keeps them in his pockets to protect them from sunlight.

History: Victor has always been sickly. He was born as an albino and later it was discovered that he has Type 1 Diabetes. Even together these two deformities might not have slowed him down much had it not been for his mother. Victor's mother was overbearing and protective to the extreme when it came to her son's health. If he so much as wanted to step outside for a couple of minutes, she would immediately start layering clothing on him while asking him if he would rather do something else. And when Victor was old enough to go to school she kept him at home and hired a private tutor to come and teach him.

Even though she devoted a lot of time towards his well being, Victor's mother didn't really get to know her son. Her shipwright husband vanished on a trip that should have been an easy matter. He was going along with a crew of merchants to take care of a ship that he wasn't sure had been fully fixed. So Victor's mother had to work all the time to support her two children.

With all of this attention and care, or lack thereof, Victor might have turned out to be a spoiled brat or a completely bitter and hateful child, but he had one saving grace. That was his twin sister, Molly. Molly did not have the same problems as Victor and she was allowed to do all the things he was not. She was much more open than he was and made friends a lot easier. She was basically his polar opposite in every way. Except, despite all of their differences, Molly stuck by her brother. She didn't avoid him, but spent time with him and got to know him well. She became almost a replacement mother to him, despite the fact that he is older.

Molly convinced their mother to let Victor go to school and told her that she would make sure he was safe. At school, Victor was shy and very quiet. He rarely spoke except to his sister and to answer a question that was asked of him. The other kids thought he was weird and started to make fun of his unusual skin. For the most part, Victor was able to ignore the teasing. Molly, on the other hand, was not so forgiving. She actually went around beating up kids that spoke badly of her brother. Soon, no one made fun of Victor and they left him alone, but they also left Molly alone. This bothered Victor and he tried to tell Molly to not hang around with him anymore so that she could have her friends back. She challenged this statement saying that if they were real friends they would have stuck by her. She said that she would much rather be with her brother than a bunch of idiots anyway.

Years passed and Victor and Molly matured. Molly became infatuated with the life of a shipwright, much to the chagrin of her mother. Victor, however, wasn't sure what he wanted to do. He never really had any ambition while he was growing up. He had considered being a shipwright, but dismissed it as an impossibility. Even if he wanted to be one, he would have to do all his work at night since the sun burned him so easily.

Victor's choice of what he would do with his life never hit him until he was fifteen. He had always enjoyed working with random, household objects, putting them together to create devices. He never even considered making this into a career until one day when he put together a metallic arm, the edge of which was sharp. The idea was that a person could chop vegetables without a knife. Suffice it to say that this idea did not last long, but it did open up the door for Victor to consider becoming an inventor.

When he was sixteen, Victor was assaulted by a gang of boys, all of whom had been beaten up in the past by Molly when she was protecting Victor. The leader of this gang had nursed a grudge over the years and was now trying to take it out on Victor. The assault ultimately was a huge failure. Victor had been waiting for Molly when he was attacked and she showed up and rescued him, using a giant, wooden hammer. Molly later told Victor that she was being trained by the shipwrights that she worked with. It had been years since Victor needed protection and after the boys had been driven away, Victor became angry with Molly and stormed off. He later made up with her, but before that happened, he made a resolution that he would become strong enough that he would never need to be protected again.

The following night was the first of many. Victor snuck out of his home and trained his body. He grew in strength, speed, and agility. He never chose a weapon because he was sure that he could make something strong and he wanted to make something out of himself first without resorting to such tricks.

During that same year, Victor's mother died. Her death hurt him bad, but he pressed on through it. Now Molly's income was all that kept them afloat. Victor did his best to help her by inventing things, but it was rare that something he made would be bought by anyone.

That brings us up to recent times. During the Unholy War, Molly and Victor hid from the fighting in a shelter beneath their home. After the war, Water 7 was in ruins. Molly and Victor's home was destroyed. Fortunately the shipwrights that Molly worked with allowed them to live down at the work area, but this did little to raise Victor's spirits.

Then Molly came to him with a crazy idea. She had built a ship of her own for the two of them. She told Victor that she thought they could make a difference in the world. Perhaps they would become pirates or maybe it would just be the two of them floating around on the ocean. After thinking about it for a couple of days, Victor agreed to go with her. He didn't really have much choice.

Personality: Victor is not the most pleasant person to be around. He is angry at his body for being weak and himself for letting it tie him down. He is not cruel towards others, but is frequently snappish and rude. Otherwise he is very quiet. He holds back from others because he is afraid of letting them see his face and them thinking that he is a freak. The only person Victor relaxes around is Molly. He trusts her implicitly. It is possible that Victor will trust someone besides his sister, but it will not be easy for someone to get that close to him.

Ship: Spitting Venus: A small sailing ship created by Molly Cross. It has two decks. The bottom deck is used for storage. The top deck is pretty much open space except the cabin on the back. This cabin is a bedroom that is shared by Victor and his sister, Molly. There is a figurehead of a woman on the front of the ship. In reality it is a cannon, which Molly has modified to look like a figurehead. The figurehead's mouth is the opening of the cannon, from which can be fired a variety of ammo. Currently it can shoot cannonballs, grappling hooks, and tear gas bombs. These can be cycled through by using a lever that is placed next to the ship's wheel.

Ship Flag: N/A

Devil Fruit: N/A
Type: N/A
Effect: N/A

Special Abilities:

Strength: Victor is actually rather strong, despite what he may look like. He can hold up against even some people who are beyond the human limit for strength. Victor's legs hold the most power of any part of his body.

Agility: Victor is extremely agile and flexible. He can run, flip, and roll with the best.

Learned Techniques:

1. Rimshot: Victor launches a kick at his opponent's "rim" or rather their head.

2. Cesura: Victor launches a kick at his opponent's gut with all of his strength behind it. If he is on the ground, this technique has the power to break bones.

Weapons/Items: N/A

Goal: Invent a cure for each of his deformities.

Name: Molly Cross

Age: 21

Bounty: 0

Species: Human

Occupation: Shipwright/Coater

Allegiance: N/A

Home Village/Ocean: Water 7/Grand Line

Appearance: Molly is a white female who stands at six feet in height. Her skin has been richly tanned from her long hours outside working on ships. Her hair is jet black. It reaches down just a little beyond her shoulders. She will often tie it up to keep it out of her eye while working. Her eyes are an amber color, which she inherited from her mother. So far as her shape is concerned, Molly has a nice figure. She is not really buxom, but she is close. For a One Piece female, she is also very muscular. This is evident to anyone who sees her, but it should be noted that she does not look like some sort of monster bodybuilder.

Molly is pretty open about what she wears, but usually she wears some kind of short-to-no sleeve shirt along with a pair of cargo pants. Her shoes are often work boots and she normally wears a coat or long-sleeve shirt wrapped around her waist. This is more of a habitual thing than anything else because since she is on the Grand Line, the seasons are very erratic and she has been to winter islands in the past to fix a ship and nearly frozen to death. Molly also hangs a pair of goggles around her neck for protecting her eyes while she works. Lastly, she wears a pair of dark brown work gloves pretty much all day. Other than that, she does not often carry her giant hammer or her tools unless she is going somewhere far away or about to start working.

History: Physically, Molly has been in perfect shape. She is strong, healthy, and has always been confident about her abilities. She is, in most ways, the complete opposite equivalent of her brother, Victor. Victor is a very sickly person. Always was. Because of his sickness, Molly had to pretty much raise herself. Her mother didn't spend much time with her, but instead took care of her brother. At first this made Molly angry at her brother, but she quickly realized that it wasn't his fault and her anger was turned on her mother.

Truthfully it wasn't her mother's fault either. Not only did she have a very sick child to take care of, but she also had to work to provide for both of her children. Her shipwright husband vanished on a trip that should have been an easy matter. He was going along with a crew of merchants to take care of a ship that he wasn't sure had been fully fixed. He just never returned. So Molly's mother had to work to make sure her children were fed and clothed.

Because of all her work, the poor woman never was able to get close emotionally to either Victor or Molly. She could only make sure that Victor was taken care of and that's all. So Molly took it upon herself to be Victor's friend.

When it was time to go to school, Molly went alone. Her brother was kept at home by her mother and given a private tutor so that he would be safe. Molly didn't like this idea, but she went along with it at first. That didn't last long, though, because as Molly went to school she interacted with other students and began forming close friendships. She realized that Victor was missing out on all of these things. So she spoke to their mother and convinced her to allow Victor to go to school. Molly was proud of her accomplishment and was glad that her brother would have the chance to have a social life as well. What she did not account for was her brother to be incredibly shy and withdrawn from the other students. Worse still, some of the students began making fun of Victor and in particular his albino skin. Molly was furious and she went and beat up any kid that made fun of her brother. She was successful in driving away the ones who made fun of Victor, but her anger had also scared off her friends. Victor noticed this and asked her to stay away from him so that her friends might return. Molly challenged this statement saying that if they were real friends they would have stuck by her. She said that she would much rather be with her brother than a bunch of idiots anyway.

Years passed and Molly and Victor matured. Since she was only eight, Molly had been interested in following in the steps of her father and becoming a shipwright. Her mother had always discouraged this since she didn't want either of her children to disappear like their father had. However, Molly was not to be deterred. She went to a shipyard and managed to pick up a job painting the ships. It wasn't what she wanted to do, but in between painting, the shipwrights were give her free lessons on how to fix ships. So Molly was content. She was a little worried about her brother though, because he had never shown any interest in doing anything. But she figured that there was still plenty of time for him to decide on a career and she let it be.

One day, when she was sixteen, Molly was on her way home. She was supposed to meet up with her brother and walk the rest of the way back with him. However, when she arrived at the designated meeting place, she found Victor on the ground, being beaten by a group of boys that she recognized from her early school years. Molly went after these boys with a giant hammer she had been given by the other shipwrights. They had been teaching her how to fight so that should the need arise, she could protect their yard from an attack. Molly easily defeated the attackers and drove them away. Then she went to check on Victor, but he was not happy with her. In fact he yelled at her for always protecting him and then he stormed off.

Molly later found Victor and made up with him. While she was doing this, she noticed that he had an odd, determined look about him. Like he had just decided to do something and there was no way anyone could ever stop him.

Later that same year, Molly's mother died. She wasn't very broken up by this. She didn't really know her mother. To Molly, her mother was just the person that brought home money for them to use each day. Victor, however, was hurt by her death and Molly comforted him as best she could. There wasn't much time for her to do this, though. Her money from working at the shipyards was all that they were now receiving. Victor tried to help her out by inventing things, but what he made hardly ever got sold.

That brings us up to recent times. During the Unholy War, Molly and Victor hid from the fighting in a shelter beneath their home. After the war, Water 7 was in ruins. Molly and Victor's home was destroyed. Fortunately the shipwrights that Molly worked with allowed them to live down at the shipyard. Molly was content, but she could see that it was driving her brother crazy. So she concocted a plan to get them out of Water 7. If the plan worked, they would be happy. If not, they would be dead and it hardly mattered in the first place.

First she went and built a ship. Then she used some of the money they had managed to save up to buy supplies. Then she went to her brother and told him that she thought they could make a difference in the world. Perhaps they would become pirates or maybe it would just be the two of them floating around on the ocean. Either way, at least they would be away from this place. After thinking about it for a couple of days, Victor agreed to go with her.

Personality: Molly is a very practical person. She can handle a little bit of goofiness, but can easily get annoyed if someone acts too crazy. This does not mean that she is overly serious. She is, in fact, a very cheerful individual, who enjoys being around other people. She is a very caring person as well and is reliable, which is demonstrated in the way that she takes care of her brother, Victor. She makes sure he gets his shots for his diabetes and so forth. She is very protective of innocent people, but even more so her brother. Even if someone is just teasing him, she can fly into a rage and attack them.

Ship: Spitting Venus: A small sailing ship created by Molly Cross. It has two decks. The bottom deck is used for storage. The top deck is pretty much open space except the cabin on the back. This cabin is a bedroom that is shared by Molly and her brother, Victor.

Great Strength: Molly is incredibly strong. This is mostly due to all of her hard work as a Shipwright at Water 7. While she was there, she learned how to fight as well as how to fix ships. When she finally left, she was about as strong as several of the foremen.

Endurance: All of Molly's training and hard work has made her tough. She can take a decent amount of damage before finally going down.

Special Sight: Molly has the extremely rare ability to see Klabautermann even when a ship is not doomed. She can even talk to them if she wants to. Though she does not know it, she inherited this ability from her father.

Learned Techniques:

1. Grand Slam: Molly swings her hammer from the side to smash an enemy and send them flying away from her.

2. Four Ton Hammer: Molly swings her hammer down from above to try and crush an opponent into the ground with the sheer force of the attack. This attack is so named because it has the force of four tons behind it.

3. Endure: Molly brings her hammer into the path of an oncoming attack. Because of its size and thickness, and depending on what attack it is used to block, the hammer can withstand a little to a lot of damage before being destroyed. For example: Since it made of wood, fire and magma would burn right through it if they were used in excess, but if bullets were being fired at the hammer, they wouldn't do much to it unless they were somehow stronger than average bullets.

4. Mallet Tornado: Molly spins, swinging her hammer around her body to knock back anyone close to her. If Molly uses all her strength, this technique can produce an almost tornado-like wall of air around her sides that can push people back, up to ten feet. However, this does not protect Molly from above or below.

5. Rockbreaker: Molly slams her hammer into the ground with all of her strength. This sends out a shockwave in all directions. The shockwave reaches up to ten feet all around Molly and can trip up anyone it hits. This does not cause any more damage than would be received from falling down, but it can leave a person vulnerable for the next attack.

Weapons/Items:

Giant Hammer

Tool Bag

Goal: Build the best ship in the world.

I would like to add these two attacks to Victor:

1. Rimshot: Victor launches a kick at his opponent's "rim" or rather their head.

2. Cesura: Victor launches a kick at his opponent's gut with all of his strength behind it. If he is on the ground, this technique has the power to break bones.

Because I have decided to make Victor into a kicking fighter, I would also like to add this to the end of his Strength in his Special Abilities section:

Victor's legs hold the most power of any part of his body.

I've got two techniques for Molly:
