GOFF: Talhar Brink versus Spur Stelzen

Spur was doing his normal activities: randomly looking around at everything he saw, and generally asking stupid questions. The guy he was stalking following had vanished, and suddenly Spur had gotten all distracted... that is, until someone came up the road.

Talhar was walking around, looking for the filthy thief that had dared to steal his coinpurse. His twin Kukri daggers were hidden underneath his sjawl around his waist with only the hilts showing but his short scimitar was drawn and ready to taste blood.

As he walked around the city and into the marketplace, he felt his stomach growl and was contemplating stealing food from a stall but he held his composure believing that would make him nothing better than the thief that stole from him.

After having searched high and low through the city, he had to admit his defeat and walked on the path leading to the forest outside the town. The path lead through fields of weat and other crops and coming across a wild cherry-tree he happily started picking the cherries after planting his scimitar bladefirst into the ground at the trunk of the tree.

He was too busy picking cherries to notice the man standing or approaching him further ahead.

Spur looked up and gasped. Someone with knives. Pointy knives. Obviously ready to fight: but who? No one was here except... shit, he was gonna stab Spur! Well, not on his watch! Like hell he'd let someone stab him without even introducing themselves! And so he ran at the man and jumped, flipping and attempting to kick the man in the face.

Happily nomming on the cherries and filling his stomach, Talhar was way too off-guard to see or sense the attack coming from his blindside. The eyepatch might have a cool-factor but it was a pain in the ass when people attack him from the invisible angle.

The unknown man's boot landed heelfirst on the side of Talhar's face, causing him to fall sideways off the tree and landing on the hard ground on his shoulder and hip. Shaking the pain and disorientation off, Talhar scrambled up and spotted his assailant hanging in the tree where he used to be, seemed like this man wanted a fight.

Talhar saw that he had been so foolish to leave his scimitar behind unguarded so he was forced to use his twin Kukri daggers. He pulled them out and leaped upwards after circling the man and slashing at his back in two horizontal opposing slices.

Spur bent down low to the ground, ducking under the slashes, and while the slashes passed overheard, Spur went into a handstand and kicked both legs up and out, trying to hit Talhar in either the face or the chest: either worked.

Talhar, unable to dodge the incoming attack since he was still in mid-air saw no other option but to use his DF. He instantly created a dome with a relatively small radius but large enough to encompass both of them, the tree and several feet around them.

" Kinetic Field! " He shouted as suddenly the man's attacks were stopped dead in his tracks by influencing the attacker's boots and using kinetic energy to push them back in the opposite direction, leaving the man's legs bent in a weird position as Talhar took the opportunity to slash at the man's legs with his Kukri Daggers while manipulating his daggers, increasing their speed tremendously while his arms just hold on for dear life as the daggers' movements are controlled by the field and Talhar's will.

A whirlwind of slashes followed from point-blank range before Talhar even landed on the ground.

Spur pushed off the ground with both arms, launching his entire body at Talhar: with any luck, he'd pass through the storm of knives and collide with Talhar and knock him over. Who knew, it might work!
