Name: Jukuri Sangetsan

Age: 33

Bounty: N/A

Species: Human

Occupation: Ex-Vice Admiral/Warden

Allegiance: Navy/Marine

Home Village/Ocean: Grand Line

Appearance: Jukuri has very scruffy, short, and uncombed black hair, which he usually covers with a cap. He is not clean shaven in any sense of the word, but he doesn't have a beard or mustache either. He eyes are almond colored, and his cap is usually pulled up far enough to make his eyes be left uncovered by shadows. He has a thin, wiry body type that betrays exactly how athletic he is. He usually wears a white dress shirt and khaki dress slacks, with brown leather loafers on his feet. He normally wears white fingerless gloves, as well as his Marine coat draped over his shoulders like a cape.

History: Jukuri's childhood and teenage years weren't that interesting: he was born, raised, put into the Marines. He trained with the Marines for several years before he was transferred to a strange position: a guard at Impel Down. At first, he maintained the attitude every Marine recruit had: pirates are evil, they should all die for their crimes, yada yada yada. He maintained this viewpoint for the first several years he worked at the prison. But then, he started... listening. Hearing the words of the pirates. Learning that they all came from different backgrounds, different motivations, different situations. One in particular he learned wasn't a pirate by choice: he had been abducted and forced into piracy. Others were born into it, and knew nothing outside the life of a criminal. Quite a few of them even expressed the unprovoked desire to try again, a full do over of their life. Their words moved Jukuri. He began trying to petition for an experimental prison to be opened, one meant to rehabilitate pirates, but he was rejected.

Being rejected did not curb Jukuri's enthusiasm. He continued making requests as he continued to work in the jail, eventually managing to get his hands on a Devil Fruit due to his good work at Impel Down. With his new fruit, Jukuri showed that he was extremely capable, eventually gaining permission for his dream: the Tower of Fallen Angels. Jukuri was sent to the Tower to oversee its construction. While the Tower was under construction, it came under attack by a powerful pirate with a ridiculously high bounty: Kuchula Bathory. Though she killed a number of the workers, Jukuri managed to fight her and subdue her. When the prison was completed, Kuchula became the first prisoner, though Jukuri was surprised to realize that it was entirely of Kuchula's own volition. His hopes soared that such a violent and powerful criminal could repent and desire to be properly punished. He attempted to befriend the woman, eventually giving her the ground floor of the Tower as a gift. Jukuri's reputation has grown, as he has managed to rehabilitate many pirates, and has not had a single escapee in the time since the Tower's inception.

Personality: Jukuri is a very kind individual: very trusting and open. He believes that goodness is inside every person, and pirates only need to find it. He feels like the death of a human being is never a good thing, though it may occasionally be a necessity. He doesn't like it when people kill each other for no reason, as he feels it is a waste. Racism and prejudice hold no reign over him, as such things would diminish the value of human life. He feels that civility must be maintained at all times. Through all of this, Jukuri is really quite lazy, delegating all rehabilitation efforts to his subordinates while he goes off to golf. Even defending the prison is occasionally viewed as a hassle for him, even though he will always do his job. He enjoys having tea with the first prisoner of the Tower of Fallen Angels, Kuchula. He is far more trusting than a man of his position should be.

Ship: Doesn't need one.

Devil Fruit: Kyōmei Kyōmei no Mi (Resonance fruit)
Type: The user’s body develops and affinity from ultra high frequency vibrations with their molecules and cells oscillating at high speeds producing many waves of kinetic energy from their body constantly as if it was a natural bodily function. Ordinarily these waves and vibrations can not be detected by any of the five senses and are completely harmless until the user learns to manipulate and direct their resonances flow through their body for a wide range of functions and behaviors as they command the vibrations and kinetic energy of the waves.
Properties of the resonance’s waves - The waves themselves vibrate the molecules of what ever they pass though to offensive and defensive ends, if a wave is sent in to a target with enough force from the users body it can break from the strain or in some cases burst open or explode, at the same time if a body containing large amounts of kinetic energy (be it a moving body or heated body) the waves will neutralize it stopping the moment and dispersing the heat by vibrating the molecules of the object at the users controlled rhythm.
Applications of the users resonance - in addition to using the waves to destroy objects and neutralize attacks the user can also pass their waves though a catalyst such as the ground or metal though thin air proves to be a very poor catalyst and objects with crystalline structures prove to brittle this allows the user a wide range of applications for their abilities as they are able to resonate waves similar to both sonic and seismic vibrations easily but this is only an imitation. It is even possible to extend the users rhythm to objects to increase there offensive capability.
Effects on targets - Solid objects with crystalline structures (aside from seastone) are the most vulnerable to the waves effects shattering almost immediately unable to tolerate the vibrations at all, metal behaves both as a catalyst for the waves to pass through or a target for their power as can wood. Bodies containing solids liquids and gasses (such as the human body) are not shattered as easily and instead feel a great pressure and force of shock when the waves target the entire body but cause more damage as the waves target more specific areas. Liquids are the best catalysts (aside from seawater obviously) but can also be dispersed by the waves very easily. Gasses such as the air allow the waves to move but at a very limited range with greater concentration near the source of the vibrations. Moving objects are slowed to the point of stopping and heated objects lose their energy when exposed to the waves.
Effect: Paramecia

Special Abilities: Jukuri has a large amount of strength, enough to hit a golf ball dozens of kilometers away. In a more understandable view, he is capable of punching holes in steel (not shattering it, it simply bends outward like a piece of paper stabbed by a pencil). He is also rather fast, capable of running 165 meters per second (half the speed of sound), though he does get sick when he runs his max speed. His reflexes are rather good as well.

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
Explosion: Jukuri sends vibrations down the length of his golf club, and then strikes one of his special golf balls. The golf balls will then sail for several kilometers or until they hit something, at which time they will explode.
Resonance Bells: Jukuri sends vibrations down the length of his golf club, and then strikes one of his hollow golf balls. They will catch the resonance and then move on, and if they strike anything, they pass the resonance into the object, usually shattering metal and wooden objects, and dealing moderate internal damage to living things.
Resonance Catch: Jukuri holds his hands out to incoming objects, sending out waves to decrease the object's speed. Eventually, the object slows to the point that he can simply catch it and then use it.
Resonance Shatter: Jukuri grabs a metal or wooden object and sends resonance waves through it. The waves provide stress on the object, causing them to shatter.
Resonance Strike: Jukuri send vibrations down the length of his golf club, before using it to block incoming strikes. He will then send the waves into the other object, providing stress on it so it will shatter.
Resonance Rupture: Jukuri sends vibrations into the body of another human being, causing damage to the target's internal organs. In one post, only the area touched is affected, causing bruising. Two posts, the waves have begun damaging the internal organs of the target. Three posts, and the bones have begun to break under the pressure. Four posts of continuous stress, organs start to fail and bones shatter outright.
Resonance Shield: Jukuri sends waves out into the air around him, having the same effect as Resonance Catch, except in all areas around his body.
Disperse: A technique in which Jukuri sends a destructive wave pushing all in its radius away from him.
Quash: A technique in which Jukuri focuses his resoance in to the ground to create large shockwaves though it and kick up a large amount of dust in the process, this technique can also be used to destroy the decks of ships that he stands on.
Repulse: A technique following Quash, in which Jukuri sends out vibrations through the dust in the air with incredible force, flinging all who are caught in the dust far away from Jukuri, possibly also stunning them.
Pacify: A technique in which Jukuri catches an opponent's weapon with his hand (unharmed do to his resonance and tekkai) before sending a destructive impulse through the weapon causing it to shatter.
Modified Soru: A high speed maneuvering technique in which the user kicks the ground ten times in an instant to achieve speeds faster than the eye for short distances, in Jukuri's case he uses the resonance coming off of his feet to hover an inch above the ground and push himself forward at greater speeds from the lack of friction.
"Slow" Tekkai: A defensive technique in which the user tenses up their bodies to become as hard as steel, this cannot be performed while moving and can be broken with energy based attacks. Jukuri uses the waves coming off his body in this state to slow down all the air around him nullifying air based attacks such as flames and Rankyaku as well as slowling all physical attacks to a crawl.
Modified Geppou: A technique in which the user kicks the air so quickly that they can “push off” of the air itself to jump multiple times off of nothing and move mid air, Jukuri no longer needs to jump but rather send up a forceful wave from his feet to appear that he is flying and can therefore balance Soru and Geppou much better than most rokushiki users.
Modified Shigan: A technique in which the user jabs their finger into another person with the force of a bullet, so as to have the same effect as shooting the opponent. Jukuri, instead of using normal Shigan, simply jabs his opponent with his finger while letting concentrated resonance waves into the target, so as to have the same effect as a regular Shigan.
"Strengthened" Rankyaku: A technique in which the user kicks the air with enough force to send a blade of air at a target. Jukuri reinforces his Rankyaku with resonance waves, causing his Rankyaku to be far more destructive than a normal Rankyaku.
"Automatic" Rokuougan: After taking an attack with Tekkai the user sends the force of the attack back out from their hands in the form of a shock wave similar to an impact dial, Jukuri uses his own waves as a substitue for being damaged so that he can unleash the technique with one hand at any time he wishes and amplify the energy of damage taken in Tekkai ten fold.

Weapons/Items: Golf club, Resonating Golf Balls, and hollow golf balls.

Character Flaws: Jukuri believes in the redeemability of human beings, enabling him to be occasionally distracted by the opportunity to help 'turn' a pirate. Jukuri is also unaware of Kuchula's true motives, so he's currently... unfairly optimistic.

Goals: Rehabilitate pirates, so that they can become productive members of society.
