Appearance: Gideon is a tall man, reaching 6'0 and weighing 190 pounds. He is all muscle and works out vigorously with the same exercises his father taught him and they still work well. He has a rounded face with defined brow and chin line with emerald green eyes that sparkle and his most distinguished feature, his dark red hair that resembles fresh drawn blood earning him the nickname "blood-hair". He has pale skin and a semi muscular build that makes him strong and fast. When intending to fight he carries his two special swords on his left and right, his favorite sword on his back and his 30 swords in a separate pouch, and wears the clothing in said picture. When traveling he wears the same thing but a cloak that he does not use the sleeves with and a Japanese straw hat. When exploring villages he wears a red shirt with Japanese characters on it, skinny jeans and lime green converse ankle shoes.
History: Gideon was born in the island known as Samur, an island in the north blue that was hidden away by rocks. This usually meant that no one could get in or out. This islands government resolved on an army of samurai who kept the peace on the island. These samurai, however, were not honorable and often burned villages, pillaged them, killed the men, and did horrible things to the woman. As this information spread across the island, many people started to revolt against the government, taking up arms to defend their villages. This was known as The Great Civil War of Samur. Gideon was 13 at the time the cope, but that’s for later. Gideon was born on the 20th day of June in a modest family in the capital city of the island. His father was a general for the samurai army and began training him in the secret art of his clan ((the secret art was that awhile back a member joined cp9 and went back to the island with the secrets of Soru, Tekkai and Geppou)) at the ripe age of 5. Mastering these techniques at 10, he then moved onto more serious sword training. His training would usually consist of lifting a giant broadsword to do normal fighting techniques and this gave him amazing strength and durability, allowing him to do 2 handed sword techniques with extreme swiftness and ease. This is when Gideon was drafted because of the rebellion. He rose through the ranks and became a vice captain at 15. But the things the soldiers were doing were disgusting. Him and an army buddy decided to leave. It would be a long and treacherous journey across the sea but would hopefully be worth it. This did not go as planned, as a giant wave crashed onto their ship and knocked them out to float in the sea alone. When he woke up, Gideon found himself on an island in the Grand Line. It was here he learned of pirates and the world government. Deciding the government sounded like the army he hated so much in his homeland, he decided to become a pirate. He then used dials to make his two best and oldest swords more powerful. He also used dials to power a ship he bought, and is now searching for new recruits. He then started searching islands for recruits. On one island, he saw a group of marines in a village acting like his former army did. Not knowing this is a unique thing that most marines didnt do, he slaughtered them all and got his bounty.
Personality: The first thing you will notice about Gideon is that he is very honorable. He will not fight anyone who is not armed, no matter how sinister the person is and for that reason he does not like the idea of assassins. He will let assassins who use their abilities to pickpocket and fight to join his crew, but not ones who just assassinate. He is also a bit of a pacifist and won’t fight unless necessary or someone is hurting his Nakama, friends or innocent people. In those situations he fight mercilessly until his enemy bleeds. He is very fond of plays and scripture and sometimes quotes lines from a book he is reading, making him seem very theatrical. He also likes a nice, home cooked meal and polishing his weapons, and is a bit of a perfectionist on this and will polish them until they are spotless. He his a complicated sense of humor and finds things funny that many other people don’t. To people he likes he is friendly and usually smiles when he talks to them. He is abit goofy around his friends and crew, and usually tries to lift there spirits with jokes in times of doom and sorrow.
